Not as good as i remembered it. Played it years ago, im not as good anymore so i get into lost streak a lot. which is fine, whats not fine is im thrown into bot matches after every lost streak. Bot match is boring and doesnt help me improve my skill against real players. The movement kinda weird like it drags me even after i release the button, so repositioning feels awkward. Also Down Forward + Light Attacks sometimes registered as charged attacks instead of low attacks

Summary: The game isn't unique, has a lot of glitches, is pay-to-win, and isn't fair for new players. The game isn't very good and you have to spend money or grind in the game to get a good hero (playable character) and good stickers (stat upgrades) on said hero. It doesn't take a lot of money to be good but it takes a lot of time to get a good hero if you play for free. The training mode doesn't work and is stuck on advanced bot. Dojos, which are like teams or guilds, can be created for free, which means everyone will create one and hardly anyone will join one. This leads to looking through the dojo list (which keeps putting me back to the top when I scroll down) having a thousand dojos with one person in them and one or two dojos that are almost full, but because hardly anybody plays anymore, everyone in these nearly full dojos is chronically last online 7 days ago. The players I play against on US-E servers are also quite awful at this game and I would recommend they play the tutorials, which often glitch to where your character isn't in the right position and you cannot continue. An interesting feature they added is that you cannot leave the tutorial once you join so you have to close and reopen the game if you want to exit a tutorial or you get stuck somewhere the game didn't expect to put you.

It's pretty good, trust
Hello, I have played this game in every platform I have (mobile, console and pc) so I kinda have quite experience to say something about the game. I had two accounts with a huge amount of stars aswell so I'm familiarized enough to say this game is unfair to beginners, really. There's no servers in my country, AND let's say you started playing two days ago, the game will randomly throw a hyper experienced player at you which is MUCH above you just because you won 2 or 3 rounds. I think the way of winning characters is horrible, you either pay on the shop for coins if you want a collection or you play the game for years. theres two currencies which you can buy a hero, one is a hero coin and the other one is a purple coin (no one cares about the purple coin) it's 688 purple coins for any character and as for hero coins depends on the character some you pay 60 some 80 and only two characters in game you have to spend 120. when a character is first released they will cost 160 and then lower to one of those mentioned. you only get those items from a 'battle pass' and the star path (if i'm not mistaken. I have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ short memory) which are hard to get, daily ass grind to get just a few scrumbs that you can get by fighting fighting and fighting, which is hard because the game randomly throws you a really experienced player. I remember when I was just one week into the game and got so spanked by one elite thanatos player I had like 800 stars, (I was playing with an alice in which if I had 100 stars was a lot on max 50 stars on it, barely used just for daily tasks) you can't change the keybinds to use the mouse for example (which I prefer) i never tried to change the keybinds on the controller and on mobile it's more versatile...the game gets boring quickly I barely see major updates tbh like they change one thing or other sometimes adding a new hero, not new gamemodes combat techniques or a menu rework. depending on your currency the prices are ABSURD i think they ask in euros on the game and it's like triple or double on my country so....it's a bitter pill to swallow. Honestly I just play the game because I have emotional attachment since it made quite an impact on my late teenage nothing else.
Yo, make hero coins easier to get and make players hard to fight everyone in this game is so predictable
Very Toxic. Devs don't care about safe community or really consistent updates; Alterverse Cycle has been the same season since SS9-SS18. No new hero except one half baked one since 2024; and people spam like crazy as well as form disgusting clans to harass other players. The game in reality is a mobile-started cash grab to get money in exchange for quicker access to purchasing heroes and hero ability stickers which shouldn't even exist (Smash bros can get by MUCH better without them). It stinks because I love the potential the game has and have spent thousands in it since I started playing in 2022; but when I see their newer tittle Heartopia collabing with Hasbro and My Little Pony and Dave The Diver; it really means XD could have brought more Collabs and Characters than ICEY; who was published under them anyways. Do better XD; fix your community; bring some new GOOD heroes and maps as well as a REAL season pass; and stop trying to make it blatantly obvious you are suffering financially but won't promote the game nearly enough to bring in any new players.
Flash Party is a 2D platform fighter that can be played both here and on mobile. For a free to play game, it has beautiful animations and clean character models, as well as unique and interesting movesets for each of the characters. Smash bros veterans will feel right at home playing this, as most of the mechanics exist in this game too. If you want to play a decent platform fighter with your friends and have some fun, it might be the game for you. This game however is still free to play and therefore should not be taken seriously as a competitive game, as it has pay to win mechanics in the form of stickers that undermine the game's balance and blur the line between skill and gear. It also has only three servers, those being Japan, North America and South America, therefore players from other parts of the world such as Europe can expect lag during the matches. The accumulation of characters for your roster is also kind of slow, but it is to be expected from a free to play game. Additionally, playing on Steam gives you a distinct advantage against mobile players as keyboards or controllers are much more fluid to play a fighting game. Ultimately, I give this game an overall good rating, it is free, so you can have some fun with friends if you so want to. It is a decent platform fighter for what its worth, and the developers have put in some work for the characters to feel fluid and distinct from one another, it is simply being held down from other parts of the mobile genre as well as a greater variety in terms of features and content for the players. It is possible that with a larger player base it could improve, as this game is surprisingly old.
