Fishyphus

Игра 'Fishyphus' - это дьявольски затягивающая аркада с простым управлением и сложной механикой. Вроде бы, чего сложного - катай камень по дну как Сизиф, только вместо Сизифа рыбка, а вместо камня - раковина. Но эта раковина норовит сорваться, а дно полно опасностей: камни, кораллы, да и просто уклон коварный. Пиксельная графика приятная, музыка ненавязчивая, а чувство удовлетворения, когда ты наконец-то докатил эту злосчастную раковину до конца, просто неописуемое! Да, это игра про повторение, про упорство и про то, как глупая рыбка раз за разом пытается преодолеть заранее предрешённое испытание. 'Fishyphus' вызывает привыкание. Каждая неудача заставляет начинать заново, пробовать другую стратегию, чуть лучше рассчитать угол и скорость. И вот ты уже не можешь остановиться, пока не увидишь финальные титры. Рекомендую всем любителям хардкорных аркад и просто тем, кто хочет проверить свою усидчивость.

Not recommended but Steam won't let me leave a negative review. I'd like to play a game based around these chill soundscape and sound effects. I LOVE the idea of combining that with a minimalist roguelike that subverts expectations and throws you in the deep end to figure it out the basics (i.e. the Kingdom Games). But there doesn't appear to be any such game here, at least using keyboard and mouse. A and D keys rotate the visuals, but the sound doesn't correspond -- a (pleasantly chill) synth loop just continuously pans from left to right, so clearly not any kind of spatial signal. I randomly clicked the mouse, causing other cool sounds, maybe a sensation of going deeper under water, but no visual feedback, until I was eventually told I caught a fish, and then I died with no warning. Dear developer, you're really on to something with the aesthetic -- please turn this into a game. Or if a controller is required then state that. Or if I'm being really stupid, include some kind of hint for the stupids like me.
