TL;DR - This game seems more like a beta than a full release, but is fun and has tons of potential I could not find any actual pvp matches (due to it being early days, low population, it will increase in the future I hope) So I basically messed around in empty maps. Even then, the game is a ton of fun! Positives: - The mix-and-match of the class mechanics is very interesting and allows for lots of variety and strategic depth - The graphics are decent and the artstyle has a lot of room to grow and improve - The feel of the game is great, just running around and shooting, or seeing what different loadouts can do, is a ton of fun, even by yourself Negatives: - No controller support or accessibility features (hopefully coming soon), limited options in general - UI is all over the place, both aesthetically and functionally - While the existing maps have interesting concepts, a lot of them seem very difficult from a balancing perspective. In the future, I hope to see more open areas with less environmental hazards, and/or Quake-style corridor maps - (take this one with a grain of salt) Some weapons don't seem to mesh well with the class system, or are made redundant by it. For example, the combat knife cannot take advantage of many of the upgrades in the game, and doesn't have the stats or utility to compensate - the inability to switch loadouts mid-match (specifically between lives) raises a ton of potential issues for balancing, and can lead to a hopeless scenario if you chose a loadout that the current map doesn't favor Overall, this game has the potential to be a cult classic in the FPS genre. But it will take a lot of love and support from the devs, and hopefully a growing community, to do so.
