Stories engaging the combat is fun and the graphics are great what more do you want out of a final fantasy? Sure it isn't turn based combat but I think that only helps 16 stand out even more!
Press R3 to activate Fantasy Sense to see your next objective (there's already a giant icon on your screen). *In the middle of a fight and a stagger an enemy* "Woah! You just staggered an enemy you can-" Like yeah, I KNOW that I staggered him. Why is there a tutorial for literally everything imaginable? I get wanting to make the game accessible to anyone, but at the VERY least, make it so you can turn off tutorials and pop-ups; literally every game since, like, 2007 has done this. Why do the tutorials need to pop up in the center of your screen and freeze time? It's not like the game is hard or even remotely complicated; you literally mash 2 buttons the whole time. Does it really need multiple pages of tutorials to flash on your screen? I mean, it's so easy you can play with one hand and press every button at once and never get hit and get massive combos. *Game pauses* “Woah! You just unlocked walking; move the left stick forward to move forward.” *Game pauses* “Woah you just moved forward, press the jump button to jump!” It's basically Expedition 33, but a hack-and-slash with 85,000 tutorials that actively slow down the game to a crawl. *Review pauses * “Woah! You read this review, to leave a comment press the COMMENT button and TYPE something!” It really doesn’t help that it never lets you sit with the areas; instead, you walk about 15 steps before going into a 30-second to 2-minute cutscene, then walk or fight for about 20 seconds, then go back into another cutscene. The story hook is pretty interesting. I like the character designs. The music has been alright so far. The game looks pretty great visually, but there are so many tutorials and the combat is so mind-numbingly easy that I can’t see myself finishing this game. *Review pauses* “Remember to leave a comment! Press the COMMENT button and TYPE something!” Arigatoooo!
nice game
Amazing Devil May Cry movie.
great game
Great voice acting and boss fights. Story is good. Combat is okay, could be better. Side quests are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abysmal.
Played it this year for the first time with the DLC's. Overal a solid 8-9 out of 10 for me. Ending ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broke me, ♥♥♥♥ hits hard af! So is it worth it? Hell yeah if you like these kind of games!
Loses steam towards the end but still really good none the less, especially if you dmc type combat and epic battles. Side quest aren't great so I just didn't do many of them.
