Tremendo bodrio (bait)
gostoso
I enjoyed my time with this game, the story is quite good. It's all a bit of a cliché, a lot of the game feels as though it's borrowing from a lot of other popular media and kind of just blending it together. That being said, I liked it! I liked the characters and their dynamics,
especially between Clive and Joshua
. The voice acting is okay for the most part, Clive isn't great to listen to most of the time but you sorta get used to it. Now lets talk about side quests/content... In my opinion most Final Fantasy games pad their playtime with side content, whether it's quests or just getting better gear, and when it comes to XVI it's really no different. If you do want to go the route I did and do all of the side quests as they appear make sure you mentally prepare to do 11 side quests and two expansions right before the final fight... The performance blew butts on my system, had to run everything on low with FSR on performance mode for the entire game. Even with this there were still times where FPS dropped severely. So if you're on the fence about your systems capabilities, maybe skip out on this one. Hell even if you're confident maybe just try the demo first! TLDR; I enjoyed the story, voice acting was okay, there are so many side quests and performance was lacking!

Enjoyed it
Quelle deception !
Final Fantasy is in a very weird place right now. We haven't gotten a GOOD mainline FF game in many many years. Since the original FF13 I would say. I thought after the disaster that was FF15, Square would lock in for FF16, but nope. Instead, we got another mediocre entry in a series that desperately needs to figure out what it wants to be. We've had over the years some good and some not so good side games and remakes of FF games, but the main numbered games have just been bad. The combat in FF16 is bad. I've seen people compare it to Devil May Cry, but honestly, I find that comparison insulting to DMC. Devil May Cry's combat is fast, varied, and genuinely engaging. FF16's combat, feels incredibly dull. Once you unlock Eikon switching a few hours into the game, you've essentially seen everything the combat system has to offer. There isn't enough depth to keep it interesting for the length of the game, and fights eventually start to feel like you're just going through the motions. The story starts off somewhat interesting but quickly devolves into typical JRPG unimaginative slop of ‘lets go kill god’. The world it sets out to create is interesting and heavily inspired by Game of Thrones as stated by the writers but feels more like an amateurs first attempt at writing a story set in a mature high fantasy setting, and quickly devolves anyway. I will give credit to the voice acting though, the voices acting for Clive and Jill especially is excellent. And at times story and characters do have their moments. Another major problem is the quest design. A lot of the side quests feel like they were ripped straight out of an MMO. You'll frequently be sent somewhere just to talk to someone, then sent somewhere else to talk to someone, then walk a few steps to talk to someone else, then back to the original location to report your findings. 100% skip the side content, it’s plain awful. This MMO style design isn't just limited to the side content. Even some of the main quests fall into the same trap. You'll have these supposedly important story moments, only for the game to completely kill the momentum by sending you on a series of tedious errands interacting with boring NPCs. Performance for FF16 is pretty bad. To give the game some credit, the frame pacing is generally good, and I didn't experience any constant stuttering. There are occasional asset-loading stutters here and there but nothing major, but the bigger problem is just how demanding the game is for what it actually looks like. On a 2080 Super my GPU was hitting 100% and I was dropping down 30fps at times. Maintaining 60 on 1440p with DLSS was a no go. I had to lock the game at 40fps. I could have accepted that if FF16 were a stunning-looking game, but that's where things get even more confusing. It isn't. Visually, the game can look quite plain, and there are moments where it outright looks bad. The fact that it's this demanding while looking so unremarkable is genuinely shocking. There are plenty of games that look significantly better and run considerably better. Hell, FF15 looks better in a lot of places. The DLC Rising Tide is only place where it feels like the devs cared about visuals and graphics and that only lasts a few hours. There's a weird issue with LOD on some faces in cutscenes too, where they will render too low quality unless zoomed right in. The FFXVI Fix mod helps with this issue a little. Still, I managed to complete the game and didn’t outright drop it like I did with FF15, so that’s something at least? I do think it’s better than 15. I also don’t mind that the game doesn't bombard you with a lot of RPG systems. It's a streamlined experience and that makes the game easy to pick and play. The political conflicts and different factions give the world a lot of potential, but it’s never realised. The Eikon fights can be interesting too and do show respect to traditional FF summons. But unfortunately this has to be a negative review.
