Beautiful graphics, artstyle and OST. Intense combat and gorgeous cinematics. If that's what you are looking for, go get it! If you are looking for an immersive story and worldbuiling, meh.

the best mainline FF game since XII (the Remake trilogy aren't mainline)

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. OST, graphics, and art in general were - of course - beautiful. Voice acting was incredible and Ben Starr deserves more flowers. The endgame combat, skill tree options, and story were all very cohesive and well done. Pacing was a mess, several of the sidequests were awful, and many of the side characters badly needed more lines or screentime or something. Everything to do with Dalimil sucked and the game would've been better without that whole area. And early to midgame combat was not as fun. But it made me feel all the feels, we became disgustingly godlike by the end, and I sure did wind up adoring the ride. Maybe a few too many QTEs, but they as well as normal combat show off some of the sickest VFX and animations ever made so they're forgiven. Also, you can pet the dog nearly constantly, he's the best boy, and we give bonus points for that. 9/10

ОТВРАТИТЕЛЬНО! По первой, часов 10, играл с удовольствием, затем стало скучно, и, откровенно говоря, плохо. Ну, думаю, это временно, а нет — дальше игра стала только хуже. Неинтересная боёвка, нет механик, которыми славилась серия, нет даже мини‑игр. Побочные задания скучные и, в принципе, ненужные. Взял, телепортнулся, поговорил, собрал, убил — и всё. Сюжет плоский и неинтересный. С середины игры становится настолько плохо что хоть стирай… Если бы не название «Final Fantasy», прошёл бы мимо и даже не стал тратить время. Очень жаль, что FF скатилась в такую лажу. Ведь раньше она задавала жанр, была на высоте по графике, в ней были интересные истории, игры были отличными. В Final Fantasy играю с 1998 года, но, пожалуй, это была последняя часть которую я купил, нет желания и дальше разочаровываться в серии...
