FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles

The original game on Playstation 1 is one my all time favorite games. This remaster helps capture a ton of the magic and character the original had with brand new polish and much needed QOL updates. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Final Fantasy but especially if you enjoy creating characters/teams that you can upgrade throughout the game. 9/10

This is my first time playing final fantasy tactics and while I really enjoyed this, I do not think it is for everyone. The positives for me were the story and the music. The story might be one of the best story told in video games with so many twists and turns. My one hesitation in recommending this game is the gameplay. While I did enjoy the tactics gameplay later in the game, this game kicks your butt in the beginning. There are multiple battles that are straight up frustrating if you don't really want to grind levels or JP points. If you can deal with the tough start and a little grinding, I think this is a must play.

I loved this game since it came out on the playstaytion, then on the PSP and then the PSP Vita, and its always fun to play it over and over again, now in this enhanced edition with voiced characters its even better, I suggest you to buy this if you love Ogre Kingdom or Final fantasy to begin with. Key secrets - You get xp when hitting yourself...now is there skills that can help doing this over and over again, get the game and find out hit that lvl 99 on the first map.

I used to play this on PSX all the time, I think the revamps with the enhanced edition are quite nice, not all them are for the better, but overall they did a decent job on it and they did add some QoL stuff compared to the original that makes it a much smoother play, such as being able to flee from random encounters before entering combats. You can also still play the classic version through this as well, I am not sure if its exactly the same as the old one as I have only been playing the enhanced, but I like it, still just as tactile and challenging as it has always been and I love the difficulty settings, allowing to increase the challenge if normal is too easy for you.

Always loved this game, but it was like 25 years ago i played this last time. Brings up alot of memories. Runs well on CachyOs.
