Brings me back to my childhood. In my formative years these books were part of what I would become and every day I try to chose to become a hero.
Great release for fans of solo adventure books.
Great collection of CYOA books from the 80s to today. The game itself takes care of dice rolling, keeping track of stats and equipment...you just have to read (don't pick up if you don't like reading). The books themselves are pretty cheap (you can usually get them on sale for $2 or so. Just beware...most of the books are old school, having only 1 or 2 correct paths to winning the game. Make sure to use those bookmarks! Oh, and it will run on your grandma's phone
Mostly positive The game engine works well and the Quality of Life features are nice (such as auto-translate of coded messages in Creature of Havoc once you have the ability),. However, there are multiple typos and grammatical errors across the books and for something that is basically an online interactive reader that is not very good. I knew the books from the original paperbacks well enough to still be able to play them, but it does look like the publisher needs a bit more proofreading before issuing. Fix that and I could properly recommend these as a new way to get old classics.
From my childhood! Those were the days... And now they're back! 100% recommended for awesome old-school fun ~
A great translation of the book series from the 80's.
I wish I'd found this earlier - it's a great classic genre! And the prices are extremely fair so will certainly be working my way through the books! If you want an adventure read with dice interaction - this is it, awesome :)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA CLASSIC GAME! PLAYED THE BOOKS! HAHAHAHA PLAY IT
Seems more difficult than I remember, which is probably a combination of poor memory and me cheating when I was a kid. In only two playthroughs - Fell for an obvious trap: check Sacrificed by pirates: check Fell for a different, but also obvious, trap: check Killed by an Octopus: check
