Best dialogue system of any farming/life simulator out there. The NPCs are constantly hanging out with and talking to each other, referencing past conversations, and reacting to the smallest actions you take around the town. Friday Nights at the Inn are the best implementation of a town hangout in maybe any game ever, and every character has depth not just on their own, but in relation to the community that they belong to. The NPC dialogue is endlessly funny, clever, and endearing. As a bonus, the art is gorgeous, the music is genuinely amazing at times, and while the main storylines are simple, they work, in large part because the characters are just that good. The secret characters in particular are well worth the wait to unlock. If you're heavily into automation or profit-maxxing, this won't be the game for you. The automation is admittedly cumbersome until you're very far into the game, and you're incentivized to perform tasks by hand to earn skill currency. However, if you're willing to meet the game at its own pace, I can't recommend it enough. Even in early access I would have paid twice the asking price.

10/10 if you like Stardew Valley you'll love this game!

Very addictive gameplay loop. It's like a more accessible, user friendly version of "Stardew Valley". Stardew with it's number of mods and sheer amount of years of content has that edge... but this is basically like an improvement over everything Stardew does. The characters have far more personality, there's more of an ongoing story... increasing your affinity with the villagers is less obtuse and the crafting has less grind. I work fulltime and have a family, my hardcore gaming days have been curtailed signifigantly, but I've put 30 hours in this, I keep wanting to unlock the next quest, get to the next floor of the mines, see the newest event... and it all plays wonderfully on my SteamDeck. if you love the HarvestMoon genre, you can't go wrong with this game.

Very fun and adorable. So much to do all the time, and all the characters are so unique. Dialog often makes me laugh as well, which I very much appreciate in these types of cutesy games. 10/10
