Fun and cozy with great NPS's and a reasonable storyline. Would prefer if it wasnt lagginf horribly, but I am still playing it anyway in hopes the Devs fix it soon.
I bounced of Stardew at least 5 times, and looking at some screenshots you'd think this is the same kind of game. But the RPG-lite machanics letting you level up skills, the amazing fishing, the wonderful sprite art and endearing writing of characters: this game is uniquely special and not just a stardew clone. If you tried SD and bounced off- give this a try.
As an OG Harvest Moon fan who could never quite get into Stardew Valley, this scratched exactly the Harvest Moon itch I’d been missing. The QOL is fantastic, and I can't wait for future updates!
Stardew valley, but more anime and cute.
It is an amazing story driven game allowing free roam when you choose. As well as a story is that is easy to follow. Love it!!!
I'm so hooked on this game. Soundtrack is beautiful, there are endless activities, the characters are so fleshed out, and the story is incredible. 10/10!!
cute and fun love it
TL;DR - This is a very well-implemented Stardew(/Harvest Moon, but I don't do consoles)-like. If you liked Stardew Valley, you will almost certainly like this. It has some pacing differences that give it a much longer "single playthrough" game time, which may be pleasant or may be annoying. It has some lore/storytelling differences that make it stand out from other imitators in the genre. I just "finished" (defined as, filled most of the museum bundles and got married) my first game today, at 141 hours. (I also played pre-1.0, and that number is included in the count, so the real 1.0 time to more-or-less completion for me was more like 90 hours. That's. A lot more than I expected.) I'm surprised at how much I *wasn't* annoyed at how long all the meta-progression takes in this game. In Stardew I was deeply, deeply annoyed that the only thing preventing me from satisfying all the main game objectives (prior to various later updates) in year 1 was the red cabbage. But in Mistria I was only getting a tiny bit impatient by the time I entered year 3. But anyway, yeah, the meta-progression takes forEVER, largely because of the way the day is paced and how mine levels work. (Meta progression in Mistria is inextricably tied to Mines progression, and while I considered it a normal day in Stardew when I got 5 levels in the Mines and a good day when I got 10, in Mistria it's a good day if I even get 5. So more Mine days than not, I didn't even get a new elevator level.) I love the character writing a lot. There were several genuine surprises for me in terms of character writing and all of them were positive. That said, as with every other title in this genre, I wish they'd let me do polyamory indefinitely; I knew I was going to have to choose and this game doesn't make it AS upsetting as some other titles do, it still wasn't *not* upsetting to get broken up with by mail by two of my partners after I got engaged to the other one.] *Deeply* weirdly for me personally, I do not actually feel like the game is over now that I've bagged my chosen LI and also done... as many of the museum bundles as is reasonable. I actually want to keep playing to design my perfect aesthetic homestead. That is SO out of character for me, so it's probably a good thing. Anyway, basically, there are a lot of things I view favorably from this game over what Stardew/Harvest Moon (? I don't do consoles, so I am only referencing HM as a known antecedent to STV) did, and some I'm less favorable or ambivalent about. But if you like the genre, this is a great example of it.
No puedo explicar la felicidad que me causo este juego, simplemente estoy anonadada del tiempo que le he dado para jugarlo la primera vez, definitivamente será mi juego favorito
Quick Pre-Word...
I've played Harvest Moon: FoMT back in the day on my GBA, and ofc the occasional title since. I know it goes by Story of Season nowadays, dw! Stardew Valley too, could only -truly- satisfy me with mods, sad to say. Nothing against Stardew, but it just wasn't my personal favourite. Now with this out of the way...
I am obsessed with this game.
Is it perfect? NO! I still miss Rival-Events that fleshed characters and their relations out, and were a nice treat to randomly stumble upon. But the Friday Nights are a good struck substitute for it. And I really wish I could just -push- Chests around, instead of having to emptying them. BUT... It does everything else almost flawlessly. So much QoL, without making any process 'meaningless'. The faster pace and using time as a resource for crafting & co? && Making the Months a tiny bit shorter, so the events feel closer together? A nice step-by-step unlocking, as to not rush the player with the sheer options? Related Family members of the spouse actually referencing that you are dating in occasional dialogue? Callbacks to previous events the characters point to? Crafting from Storage, and many MANY more great points.
There is so much love and attention to detail in here...
And I -just- arrived to Winter, I have still a ton of more to see and explore. I barely got time visiting the mines because my days have been just so busy with basically so much else. This is the first Farming-Sim since HM: Animal Parade to truly get me lost inside the sauce.
