Fears to Fathom - Home Alone

This episode is very underdeveloped and not worth the time, even if free. First of all, you must disconnect any game controllers or the game's controls will flip out and not work. I discovered that not only did I have to disconnect my 3d Navigator that I use for work, but that I had to actually uninstall it for this game to work. Fine. This first chapter is incredibly underwhelming. As someone else said, you have to trigger events and good luck figuring out what the next thing is. House layout is awkward and unrealistic, movement is slow, and you may end up wandering around (slowly) just trying to figure out what you're supposed to do next. When there's finally some action, you can do what you're instructed to do and then still get confronted with the bad guy (it's a lame jump scare that isn't scary to anyone who's watched a PG-13 movie). And then your game may start you from the beginning as others mentioned, or it may shut down your whole game entirely as happened to me. If this was a feature and not a bug, what were the devs thinking? I don't know if the other episodes of this game are any better but if they're anything like this episode that would be a big no from me. I try not to write poor reviews of games but here we are. Now I have to go reinstall my navigator lol Edit: well apparently the game is still stuck in "stopping" mode even after restarting Steam. So it appears to be stuck. I wouldn't trust playing this game unless you have some spare time for troubleshooting.

It seems as though this game would be exceptional if it was not for the bugs. I was playing the game and when was walking down to see Paula, I was jump scared by the intruder. My game crashed as this jump scare happened. I even replayed the game and it crashed the second time. My pc has a RTX 5060 and a Ryzen 5 5500. It should more more than capable of running the game. Based on other comments this is a common issue.

This is a short but fun game, I have yet to play the other fears to fathom games but I think they will be even better.
