The trailer already shows that this is not a good looking pinball game. And you just need a few seconds of playtime to figure out that this is very pooly done. Awful graphics, abysmal ball physics and horrific table designs. Stay far away from this one!
Pinball Lizzard!
Well, I like pinball games, I played in my youth and I still play them, either physical or as simulated game on the computer. I daresay, this game is a big disappointment. Yes, there are some tables, but they are all not well produced, and the physics are "quirky" to say the least. And the sound... Oh god... a bit more innovation please. As simple as this, I can't recommend this game in good conscience, give it a wide berth and try to avoid it at all costs.
First of all this game is not meant to compete with the likes of the well known pinball games on here with licensed tables and super fancy graphics. It's meant to give you a quick, fun and accurate pinball experience when you want to without all the bloat. I played all the tables briefly and there are some cool little animations on the pinball tables and also a simplified score board that just gives you the score and shows you objectives if you trigger a special event in game. The flipper controls are responsive, and it has full XBOX One controller support with everything you need to enjoy the game. Only thing I feel sometimes is that maybe the ball speed could be a little bit faster on the table. Not sure if others have noticed but it certainly picked my interest in that observation. A must buy to add to your Steam collection for an alternative to well known pinball titles.
If you're like me and grew up and seen these things all over the place want a fun and silly game, this one is worth $ imho. I seen a lot a reviews that talk about problem with the ball etc etc... they are still at this time of this review. But yeah, what'cha see is what ya get. Basic pinball.
You can get better and cheaper elsewhere.
Not THE worst, but surely one of the few worst Pinballs you can find. The tabledesign is boring and the balls follow either moonphysics or are totally drunk. I dunno. You can happily forget about skills - all you need is luck to keep the ball up.
Two words.....in other breaking news it is now the first week in march and corona virus has just started to spread around the world. So this might be the last game review post ever. R.I.P world.
Ball went out of the desk and was never seen again. Literally!
Full disclosure: I got the Triple Pack with this and the two other titles on the Winter Sale for $2.99 USD. And I have no idea what all the bad reviews are about. This is pinball, like machines were back in the 80s, no glitz or glamour, just something basic to bet your quarters against while you waited for pizza or hung out in the arcade. Here you get six tables in various themes, all with ramps and chutes, some with lower tables to earn multiballs on. You can make the trick shots and ramps, it just takes time, practice and a bit of luck. I thought the table designs were pretty cool in a retro sort of way, and honestly I had a lot of fun with the tables. They play like actual tables did, and sound like them too. This was as good as it got and honestly fancier than some tables back in the 80s. I'd certainly recommend this set on sale, in the bundle or full price if you want six new tables now.
https://youtu.be/9UUIo6-NR-8 While this game understands the concept and function of how to pinball tables work, it lacks a good sense of board flow. The results in boards that are simply functional while lacking connective tissue between the elements to make any of the boards come alive.
