When it was released this game it was horrible, it was laggy as hell. Also it was empty on NPC's. so I only played a couple of month and just recently picked it up again and it is much better. It's now included loads of NPC's and it's not all shoot 'em up anymore.
Plenty of things to do. Although, the game does get repetitive at times and even redundant.
Long story short; FO76 is a fun game and has enjoyment to be had if youre a Fallout fan. HOWEVER, the huge caveat to this is don't go into it expecting the same tones, atmosphere, story and scope of previous titles such as Fallout 3, New Vegas or 4. You are essentially trading the high quality single player aspects of the previously mentioned games for the aspect of a online multiplayer version of Fallout. Same foundation and other similarities, but the moment you go into FO76 expecting same things as the other entries you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Change your lense / perspective and you might be surprised what this entry in the series has to offer. That being said I really dont enjoy or like the microtransactions and monthly subscription model very much but they are avoidable and I can fully understand why it would turn some people off.
Personally not my favorite fallout game. After coming from fallout 4 a lot of the ingame mechanics and UI is completely alien to me, not to mention the horrible performance with frequent frame drops dipping into the 30s

I wish there was a button between recommend Yes or No, like 'I dunno'. Because I dunno with this game. It has all the flavours of Fallout 4 (which I like), I feel somewhat comfortable playing, there are some welcome additions I wish Fallout 4 would have, the world looks great, and even with the usual bugs it feels like it has great potential to be fun... but it's just completely boring, even with friends, it's not immersive at all, and I am sorely missing my mods because I cannot handle Fallout vanilla installs: the UI is unbearable, the npcs are boring and unsexy, guns are... just weird (with exception of the new shotgun), clunky movement, not being able to walk under stuff, same old dreadful collisions and hitboxes, no normal flashlight, character creator and hair is just typical blandness, the perks and skills system is unnecessarily weird, and overall it feels like I'm running around in a fancy storefront for the Atomic Shopping Mall (...and only being allowed a private session with friends with a paid subscription is just a rip-off and in poor taste imo, even after having paid for the game... only to also not actually share in the story progress.) I would like it more if it was either like an New Lands Mods for Fallout 4, or if it was offline, with modding, and a more compelling story. The 3D artists and map designers have done a good job... but right now it's immensely dull. I'm having way more fun after having reinstalled Fallout New Vegas (heavily modded of course), a game I played intensely for a year all the way back in 2012. So, for the effort that the developers and artists have put into it, I would want to carefully recommend it... but other than that it's a very uninspired commercial experience that I cannot recommend at all.
Relaxing game to play solo or with friends

The online subscription ruined this game and still does. the game has lots of fun in it and the community is great, just the game itself sucks it away because you have to pay for that i mean you get some stuff for free but its just lame all around. 6/10 at best. fallout 4 was king.
I got Fallout 76 on day one, and honestly, it’s pretty amazing to see how far this game has come. The devs have clearly put a lot of work into making it a much better and more playable experience than it was at launch. Pros Great game to play with friends. Lots of interesting locations to explore. The radio stations have some great music. I really enjoy encountering all the different mobs and enemies. I like the things they’ve added and connected to the Fallout TV show. Experimenting with different character builds is a lot of fun. The player base has generally been very friendly and helpful. I had a surprisingly fun time grinding out the achievements. Cons There are still a lot of bugs. For example, at the Overseer’s house, I’ve had an issue where I simply couldn’t walk and was stuck in the same spot. I understand why Fallout 1st exists, but I’m not a fan of some features being locked behind a subscription. It can make parts of the game feel like they’re being put behind a paywall. The Battle Pass/season system isn’t really my thing. The Atomic Shop is... okay, I guess. It’s not something I personally get too excited about. Overall, I’d recommend Fallout 76, especially if you have friends to play with. It’s definitely not perfect, and the bugs can still be frustrating, but compared to what the game was like at launch, the amount of work that has gone into it is impressive. I’d recommend picking it up on sale, especially if you’re a fan of the Fallout series. Despite the issues, I had a genuinely good time exploring, grinding out achievements, trying different builds, and just messing around with friends.
