Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

It's still one of the best games of the early 2000s. The gameplay holds up somewhat, ageing like a tasty cheese instead of a fine wine. The graphics brings a wave of welcomed nostalgia. The atmosphere is superb, although it lacks the sheer amount of random encounters compared to more recent titles. It still has a lot of unmarked and interesting things you could find by exploring the world. And of course, the writing is still above average. Not the best, but certainly above the slop of the modern gaming scene. Overall, gameplay is still a solid 7.5/10 Now, here's the downside. The PC port of this diamond in the rough leaves a lot to be desired. So far, I've experienced multiple crashes, with the launcher crashing on start up as well. anything disconnecting (I.e controller, bluetooth earphones/mouse/keyboard) would crash the game most definitely. Overall, it's a minor inconvenience at best, I lose 2 hours of gameplay at worst. BUT, this is a game that I would still recommend and actively endorse to be experienced at least once, especially at the price that I got the GOTY version for. NOTE: For modern gamers wanting to experience a piece of the Golden age of gaming, keep in mind that this game lacks the modern quality of life features that most games usually have now. One of these features is interval auto saving (Autosave every 5 mins), in this game, auto save will only happen if you trigger a loading screen (Going through doors). so SAVE OFTEN, unless you want to lose 1 hours of exploration gameplay.

Gutes game, scheißt aber mal ddrauf auf die Spielzeit, ich hatte es mal geschafft aber dann später wo ich es neu installiert hatte, ging diese methode mit Namen verändert bei den Dateien nicht mehr, PC wurde zuuu schlau(oder spiel) also uhm tja keine ahnung warum das nicht Gefixt wird, ich hoffe bei fallout new vegas ist das nicht so

Přestože většina lidí má raději Fallout: New Vegas, já osobně nedám dopustit na tento díl. To, co mě na hře dodnes fascinuje nejvíce, je perfektní atmosféra skutečného Washingtonu D.C. přetvořeného do postapokalyptické Pustiny. Procházet se zničenými monumenty, jako je Kapitol nebo Lincolnův památník, vyvolává neuvěřitelně silný a mrazivý pocit realističnosti, který mi v poušti Vegas chyběl.Průzkum Capital Wasteland, skvěle napsané úkoly s morálními dilematy a ikonický systém V.A.T.S. dělají z trojky naprostý klenot. Pokud hledáte RPG s tou nejhustší atmosférou zničeného světa, Fallout 3 je pro mě jasná volba. 9,6/10

Cool game, Never played the fallout games growing up, still holds up fine. [spoiler]Ending sucks though.You get called a loser for making the obvious choise of sending in the mutant guy [/spoiler]

Just a game where you spend all of your time repairing your weapon. Gets boring REALLY fast.
