Facerig is good, but it has a big problem. I bought Facerig back in the day on a kickstarter or indiegogo for a lifetime license. It wasn't cheap. I'd planned on making youtube content at some point and using Facerig with it. This didn't come until much later, when streaming became more commonplace. But they stopped supporting Facerig to make a new app, Animaze. Which owners of Facerig would not get access to without buying just like we had to buy Facerig, now we had to make a second purchase. Their reasoning for switching over to Animaze said that they couldn't rely on a generic third party engine and had to build their own from scratch, no small feat, and that they couldn't support two products. When I buy a lifetime license, I realise that is for the lifetime of the product. But this was a little bit strange: they decided to make a new engine and everyone who initially supported them was left in the dust with their older product, and would need to pay to be transferred to the new product. This new product effectively does the same thing. There was no discount for Facerig owners or early adopters - anyone supporting this product for life just ended up getting screwed. The software is good and I haven't even gotten into everything it can do, but I feel like I'd support any other developers before I trust Holotech Studios again, least of all with buying Animaze.

Holotech are thieves
RIP facerig
EULA can change at any time at their discretion they said, so they can change EULA and charge you $1000000 the next time you open Facerig
They gave birth to Vtubers. No other reason is needed to hate this software.
I had a lot fun with my children and this application. Especially when they where small. We recorded some cute toddler videos. I used it alot back in my streaming days before Vtube was a thing. I would wear a Dino skin and play racing sims while drinking. Good time. Thank you for that Holotech Studios.
I can't even use half the features anymore because they pulled away all their good DLCs and left all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ones out also it's abandoned
It just works
Defunct version, but still useful and powerful
although this is a old software, that no longer has support services. It did have some fun uses and features when it first came out including emmulating president nominees hillary and trump at the time.
