Cool and short games.
short yet enjoyable 3d platformer, 100%ed it in around 3 hours.
Finally, Vaperwave platforming. Really good short adventure traveling the past of video game history. Love the movement that LAI-6 has with all the spinning and makes the exploration fun. Writing is a bit mixed, the 4th wall breaks in the animated cutscenes got old fast. The boss of the game is a neat platforming segment that utilize all the abilities you have learned over the game. Would still highly recommend you play, just know that 100% is a pain because of all the chips you have to look for that are spread everywhere in the levels.

I did not expect a free platformer game to have been as thoroughly enjoyable as this way. I'm not much of a platformer fan, but I love retrowave aesthetics which is what drew me to this game, and I'm really happy I gave it chance. The physics/mechanics of platforming feel nice and smooth, while still having a few challenges (the final boss battle was the hardest and did take me a few times to win). As an irregular player of platformers I did find it to be quite intuitive and I quickly picked on even some of the more complicated mechanics while still feeling like I was being properly challenged. Like others have said, I would have paid money for a game like this to be more fleshed out with additional levels and challenges. Plus if you are a retro game nerd who enjoys vintage games and fun facts about them, the worldbuilding of this game is quite fun too.
This is litterally the best game ever its a cool retro game that has many cool references and it only takes like 2 minutes download and the best part (drum roll)... ITS FREE!!!
The platforming is actually quite good, with lots of fun abilities to use. What I didn't care for was everything else. Levels feel too big, the visuals get progressively uglier, and the actual objectives can feel tedious. Writing is bad, but that didn't affect my opinion of it too much, as I don't play platformers much for their plots.
A really original, fun game with a cool concept and entertaining gameplay. It's overall very easy but still provides a tiny challenge. I had played this game once years ago and decided to pick it up again, but this time with a completionist approach, unlocking all achievements and collecting everything. Took about 6 hours of gameplay. I'd say Evo\Wave is actually a fantastic game to get into completionism. The lore isn't really interesting, but I like its fourth wall-breaking aspect. The game's evolution is neat: with each level, the graphics change and you can gain new abilities that ever so slightly complexify the gameplay but require essentially no learning curve. Overall this is a really nice indie title, definitely recommend.
This is a collectathon platformer done right! I'm not looking for challenging platforming that's punishing when you aren't precise and accurate like Celeste. I'm also not looking for souls-like combat. Evo\Wave delivers in this regard. Evo\Wave is fun, silly, and slightly challenging. It has just enough collectables and platforming to be satisfying. The levels aren't so large that they're overwhelming or so small that they're boring. The story makes some funny jabs at the current state of video gaming and has fun facts about past gaming systems. My only complaint is if you're standing next to enemies after you "kill" them, it will still do damage as they don't disappear immediately. If that were fixed, I would be completely satisfied with this game. It's a wonderful experience. Check it out! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :-)
This is such a fun collecting game, I love the style, the premise is silly and cheesy but fun, the graphics are fantastic and the references are all over! Felt like a right blast from the past.
