Good but short
For the price offered it's a good short PvE experience. The game is not bad in any sense but man does it feel like so much more could and should be done for it. Me and my friend finished the game in about 6 hours (half played on normal and the other half on challenging). When we finished the game we were shocked that it was over in basically 2 days. There are no other game modes, I have no idea if they plan on adding more campaign missions or not. There was/ is supposed to be a season 2 update which would add more weapons and 3 new characters to play but so far, nothing. Which means what's there is it for now. The only thing you can really do atm (at the moment) is grind. Grind for weapons, grind for weapon mods, grind to level those weapon mods, grind for player mods, grind to level the player mods, and for about 5 cosmetics for each playable character. All of that needs to be done for each character separately even if they have the same mods btw. Which can only reasonably obtained at the hardcore difficulty + the weeklies. Which if you don't have friends to play with you basically means doing it solo since the game doesn't really have an active player base. They did add a offline mode to make the game pausable but to use it you have to actually have no connection to steam... Still, the game is not bad by any means. It's a little frustrating that a game with so much potential as a modern 360 era arcade shooter is just missing so much that would make it something I would say makes it underrated. It's just too bad steam doesn't a manual mixed option for recommendation.

c'est un bon jeu à faire en coop mais après avoir fait la campagne qui se termine en environ 4h la rejouabilité est nul la difficulté est abusé. 10/20
After playing a few levels of EvilVEvil. Here are my thoughts. Pros - Good use of fast paced movement. - Up-gradable character with a few changes you can do - Plays very well - The artistic design is different and interesting. Cons - Story Doesn't matter - Repetitive enemies - Repetitive missions - Continues spawning of enemies gives little down time - Limitations to upgrades and customisation (even though the ability to customise is there) - Lack of enemy styles and purpose. Overall the game is ok. It doesn't really make a lot of sense when you're playing and the story just is mingled in here and there. You could have easily made the character as a normal person with a gun rather than a Vampire. But you'll be finding you kill 70% with weapon, 20% with skills and 10% with melee. The vampire skills are there, but the main one is feeding to heal. It's a game that i think has potential, but doesn't deliver enough to keep me wanting more. The fact you just run these maps, makes map design and time spend modelling in the garbage in my opinion. When you do one map, you've pretty much experience a bulk of the game. This is better for a perfectionist who needs to get everything. Good game to try. Maybe wait tail a good sale. But definitely missing something,.
Good Game, better with Friends :praisesun:
+ Co-op is chaotic and fun + Music is great + It's challenging - Playing single is a bit bland - Visuals are outdated but personally I like the aesthetic - need some polishing - a bit short
I like the game, its a cheap fun game for you and your friends. I believe this game needs further improvement like adding extra characters, reworking the existing characters, adding more missions, and reworking the aiming. The only downside i can say is that it needs more time and updates to improve this fun game.
i really wanted to like this game. there are many good ingredients: fun abilities, fast pace, tons of enemies to cleave through. but, it feels like the game trips over itself every step of the way. the most egregious part is probably ammunition. I already said it during the demo, but its not fun being stuck in the final fight of the level and just have to hover around cleaning up with abilities on cooldowns, because you are out of ammo. compounding the issue are the two damage types, which means if you run out ammo for the correct gun, you will just waste and drain ammo form your second gun. guess what? past the first one practically every level ended up with this issue, heck once I spent longer in the final room than the rest of the mission with 0/0 ammo just chugging fireballs at the objective. maybe it gets better with progression, but why would you make us slug through boring hell first. anyways aside from that issue, I feel extremely limited by the character system not gonna lie. given how little individual character they have, I do not understand, why it is so important to not have them being cosmetic skins, while all the abilities and weapons are free to match and experiment with in the 2 weapon, 2 ability load-out. i could rant about the lack of enemy variety (so far only a single demon type) and lack of coordination among them (like where are my enemy supports?), but honestly I only seen the first half of the levels, so I might be wrong about it, although if there are, I would wish they would be introduced sooner. finally and this isn't really the developers fault, for a coop game, there are just not enough people around to reliably find a lobby. and ngl with the 20$ pricetag I am not gonna make anyone buy into this, if they cannot have fun on their own.
I know the screenshots don't look compelling, but the game is surprisngly fun. It's pretty simple and has obvious flaws, but it still has this certain touch to it that you feel when people care about what they make. It's a fast paced boomer shooter like, complete with fast paced movement and projectile based ranged enemies. There is a story in the game and while it tries to build up a mystery and intrique, it kind of fails in executing those given the genre that this game is in and would have been more suited for a singleplayer title. It's basically a an ancient Order of vampires fighting against an ancient cult in an attempt to stop their plans, which already brings me to a pet peeve. The game is called Evil v Evil, but you aren't evil. You only fight cultists and a few monsters, though it's never specified if they are demons or other entities. Aside from that, you never get the option to actually be evil. There are no civlians, you don't see any police or other law enforcement doing their job and you don't do any heinous acts in the name of the greater good. Unless you believe that vampires are inherintly evil, you are blatantly the good guy here. As for the gameplay, as I said it's pretty basic. All you do is run through a corridor and do mission objectives while enemies endlessly spawn at you. Yes, you read that right, the game has respawning enemies and unless an objective explcitly tells you to clear a room, they will come at you indefinitely. This design also allows you to skip a lot of the fighting, because in most cases, you can just dodge around the enemies and do the active objective before moving on. Speaking of enemies, there aren't that many. Unlike what the screenshots may imply, you mostly fight humans, with a few demons sprinkled in here and there, and there aren't that many of them. Aside from your basic grunts, you have three more specialised enemies and that's it. I thought that maybe they have some more enemies locked behind higher difficulties, since I played on Normal, but from what I saw, they don't. They try to spice it up abit by humans being suspectible to ballistic damage while demons need solar weapons to be killed effectively, but it doesn't do that much. The same goes for the levels. While you have different set pieces, like a cargo ship, an old temple, a downtown roof section or a nightclub, they all play very similar. There are no level specific gimmicks, there is nothing to discover, no environmental hazards and no secrets, it's just a rush from point A to point B. As for the characters, there are three of them, each with their own version of a mobility and AOE attack. They do fill some rough archetype, but because I played solo I didn't get to experience much of it. There also isn't that much customization. The abilities on each of your character are fixed and while you unlock new guns, there aren't any attachments for them either. What you can select are perks, both for your character and guns, which can range from more XP for ability kills to more teleportation range to more gameplay changing stuff like Victoria's melee attacks dealing solar instead of kinetic damage. The downside is that they are all level locked. And this leads me to another complaint. The game is grindy as hell. The characters need to be levelled to unlock new perks and guns, the individual guns need to be levelled for new perks and each perk can be levelled up 5 times, which also uses ressources. And both characters and guns have a level 50 limit. Now during my playtime I gained at least one level per match on Normal, but it's still a long ass grind, especially for the solar weapons, because they are close to useless against humans and thus you barely get to use them. I also have another downside to solo play. While you can play alone and OFFLINE, thanks a lot devs, you are on your own. There are no friendly bots and no lives, meaing that if you once, you have to start the whole level all over again. And the game doesn't pause during solo sessions. So, with all of that being said, why do I give the game a thumbs up? Because the basic gameloop is fun. Mowing down cultists while you move at a Redneck's speed is fun, killing a whole group of enemies with your lunge or sword dash is fun, throwing a fireball into a group of enemies before teleporting behind a pesky sniper is fun and the overall loop of killing, blood sucking to boost your damage and speed to be more efficient at killing is motivating. Like I said, there is not much else to the game, but it does this aspect pretty well. With that said, I think you could give the game a try. I don't think it will be endlessly replayable like something like Payday 2 or Left 4 Dead 2, but I think you still can enjoy it.
