Eternal Essence is a turn-based collectible card game which pits two opponents against each other. Players construct decks of 40 cards and utilize their limited Rift Power (mana) to summon creatures, cast spells, and equip relics, with the goal of destroying the opponent's Rifter (hero).
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

The game is not the problem. Its like a cut down version of MTG. Thus i still recommend looking at it. The problem is not enough players. After waiting 8min for a pvp game i gave up. The devs should look at what Mythgard did because they came out at a similar time and have got some players.
Хорошая ККИ, рекомендую к ознакомлению, из минусов-возможны баги(у меня не отображались уже открытые карты, пока я не прошел заново обучение).

Oh. My. Gooooooood. This is a card game. This should run smoothly, you are competing with real-time interactive games that run smoothly. It's 2020. Get your crap together devs, a CARD GAME should not FREEZE my computer for 20 MINUTES. I know I have an ancient computer but come on... it's a card game. This is embarrassing. Uninstalling.
UI is terrible! Not the most user friendly interface to navigate between stages. The deck creation is confusing and buggy. I think the game has some potential if devs spend some more time with it and cleaning up some clutter. I want to play this more often but I find it painful to navigate through this game. Tooltips are non-existent and card placement is clumsy on the board meaning it would have been better if there was a "lock to grid" Considering uninstalling this game... I will give it some time and see if there are updates coming.

Good game with good mechanics and interesting concept. It's still in development and it will take time to be polished in terms of graphics and balance. No player base yet, but you can always play against an AI and complete quests in multi, so you can grind some gold to buy packs and grow the collection. A few bugs exist but nothing game breaking. If you are tired of HS and need something fresh, give this one a try.
Warning: In-Game Cash Shop This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.

Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
You play a turn-based card game where you build decks of cards to summon creatures and cast spells. The goal is to defeat your opponent's hero. The game is in early access, with a developer statement indicating incomplete features and significant limitations. The developer also states the game will only be in early access for a short period of time. This is a dead P2W CCG/Hearthstone ripoff that was plagued by bugs, crappy servers, and practically zero player counts even when it launched. The developer walked away and kept any and all proceeds from the toxic mobile app cash shop... ultimately this was just an Early Access scam. So, Eternal Essence is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the software. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The developers abandoned this 5 years and 6 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Despite not being able to finish the game, the developers apparently had all the time in the world to build a working cash shop microtransaction system and financial transaction back end into the game. That shows the developers primary goal was just to set out to gouge cash from Steam gamers just like mobile devs do with mobile peasants. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. As mentioned, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
