Escape From Zombietown

For what is basically a free game I think this is a very very good game indeed. Its extremely addictive.

The game really goes in the good, right (development) direction, it just doesn't deliver high enough quality in any aspect. The jank here is of the "feels good" sort but the game is a good learning project for the developer rather than a game to be enjoyed by the more hardcore audience. It doesn't fail at anything, it just doesn't deliver anything truly unique or very polished. The animations are mechanical, guns don't have a feel, but regardless... there is genuine effort and passion put into the game and I respect that. The game is like Left 4 Dead 2 with an arena shooter vibe. Plus, the guy on the phone feels like completely fine with the apocalypse, as if nothing is happening, and it's hilarious. Pairs well with the game being more of a comedy rather than a serious game and I like this take. As I said before, the only reason this review is negative is because the quality isn't high enough, otherwise everything else with the game is fine.

you can easily lose where you're going, zombies practically spawn behind you, and there's a bug where the tank zombie will fly away and you'll be softlocked if you hit it with a crowbar

If Left 4 dead 2 and Half life had a baby this would be it. It's charming, the gun play is smooth and responsive, the story is silly and fun, the levels are detailed and reward exploration. There's a good amount of enemy variety and the Ai is decent for a free game. I love the cartoony graphics. All and all i am loving it. Update: Sadly dropping it due to an issue where your guns won't shoot no matter how many times you press the shoot button. Also dropping it to don't recommend due to this issue and seemingly no response from the devs despite it being brought up by other users.

Realy good game. Good gameplay, good difficulty progression and funny. I realy recommand this game. Well done !
