Before I begin I just want to say please ignore my playtime. I was a beta tester and have finished the game. Now, on to my review! Entropic Float is an intriguing, heartfelt game with compelling characters and excellent worldbuilding. I loved getting to know all the different facets of the characters and the world over the loops, and I liked how you could play the loops in any order you like because I thought it was cool that we, as players, could each experience the game a bit differently depending on what information we learn first. Whenever I learned important new information in a loop, it was always fun for me to think back on the previous loops I played and how it recontextualized certain things in them! The characters were a delight to get to know. They all felt very human, each with their own flaws and strengths. Certain characters ended up doing some pretty horrific things, but I couldn’t find it in myself to dislike any of them. While you might not agree with everything they do, you do understand where they’re coming from and nothing’s ever played up for no reason/pure shock factor. They were clearly written with a lot of thought and care. While I’m pretty fond of all of them, my personal favorites were Loam, Kanatsun, and Shinji! And I loved how everything came together at the end. Things that weren’t left open-ended for the next game (which I’m very excited for!), were all wrapped up well and I was left feeling very satisfied with the ending. Overall, Entropic Float was a wonderful experience. And I can’t end the review without mentioning the soundtrack! It was *chef’s kiss*. My favorite tracks were Heat Death Of Your World (very intense), The Moon Can Always See The Sun, The Stars Are Sleeping, and I’m not sure if there’s a name for it, but Jazz’s theme!

great
It was beautifully written and in general a great game
A game that, if one gets past the surface level perception of it appearing weird and excessively PC, reveals itself to be a decent ontological mystery plot with one of the best entirely original story concepts. Also, a sheer nightmare of story flows, routes and endings.
never saw a character with such similar memory problems and didnt know i needed it until i had it. recommended even if only for rashmi
Even characters (which I did come to like a lot over time!) aside, the world that's built throughout is very interesting. Especially trying to show a 'world' that they're being isolated from throughout. I'm really looking forward to the sequel. If it's paid I'll be happy to support the team-- this was great, especially for free. It's a LOT of text to go back and reread, but once I do, I want to add some things. I just want to review it to draw a bit more attention to it, if possible.
Went into this with no expectations, but as a fan of ontological mysteries, I really really enjoyed it. The game is character-driven first and foremost, and it's clear that a lot of love went into writing these characters. Everyone has interesting motivations and well thought out backgrounds. I was very impressed by that, especially with such a large cast. I grew attached to the majority of the characters, and I found them all to be endearing. For negatives, I think sometimes the CG art can be inconsistent in quality. The music is good, but I really wish the tracks looped better. And there is a section near the end that messes with the pacing a bit. At the end of the day, these are pretty minor complaints, especially for a free game with a lot of great content in it. Really looking forward to the future games by this creator! The world building in this game had me very intrigued, so it’d be neat to see more games in this same universe.
Amicalement, Le pasteur .
firstly amazing game i finished it well not all achievements and secrets but i saw the true ending the story was amazing but the pacing couldve been better like being able to skip over really slight variations but keep in important stuff so we dont miss it? not gonna bother probablt to actually see the variations or secrets that could be done by achievements i dont see why this one was so unpopular tbh after a year or more i think? either way gonna look foward to the next game if it ever does come out maybe im pessimistic and on the web it could be better than here but... my hopes arent high
Now I seriously totally love this game sooooo much and I only played an hour. Edit: It's been 6 hours and I am just halfway through. It's touching and funny with nice graphics, puzzles, art, writing, and story. A time twisting VN gem! The cute sprites, pleasant voice acting, funky backgrounds, great writing, excellent story., the number of choices and endings, the time loops, the true path, representation of different groups usually marginalized, the complexity of the game, the time loops, the features, the achievements, the fun animation(s), the count of people on the side, the moral ambiguity, and especially (I'll say it again I love time loops with lots of content) the time loops. I love this and I will definitely buy the DLC and play it. Of course you should play Raging Loop if you liked this!! Raging Loop is amazing but expensive so this is free and this game is definitely more wholesome and representative of real people plus the answers to the riddles are easy to obtain in the game. I like that. The content warnings are also a nice addition. Oh and it's like Danganronpa...I guess if you haven't played them you should go play all ot them and their spinoffs - no question! And the Loopers game by Key. And Stella of the End which is unrelated but similar to this in a weird way the Atri game is good too. There's going to be a third one. I just really like recommending games. <333 Also Heart Fragment is a good game. I can't wait for the DLC for Jasper. I can't figure out how to play Kay's route but I have to I think.
