This is one of those few gems that deserve to be bought.
If you like top down roguelite shooter bullet hells; this game is for you. The story is fun, the characters are fun and the secrets are endless. Even when you think you beat the game; you find out you didn't actually beat it.
This was a fun experience that you can even share with friends. The modding community was decent as well so you can find some pretty good addons for when you do beat everything.
Replayability is a factor and this has it in spades.
Devolver Digital can be hit or miss as a publisher but am I glad they gave Dodge Roll a chance because they nailed it. Can't say anything yet for the second one but they set my expectations high and I hope they can reach it or beyond.

Enter the Gungeon is peak roguelike genre. Some will argue for The Binding of Issac or Nuclear Throne as better games but Enter the Gungeon always deserves to be in the conversation. A great games is not hard to come by on the steam store: there are plenty to choose from. If you want a whimsical top town action roguelike than Enter the Gungeon is a must play at some point. I put 50 hours in on the Ps4 trying to get good. This game is so arcardey that is feels like I put a quarter in a gaming machine each run. IN under an hour we will have an answer. Did you have what is takes to win? This was my daily game for about 2 months. One run daily, win or much much more likely, lose again.
If you enjoy the whimsical style here I urge you to give Atomicrops a chance as well. it has a lot of the shooting joy but adds massive amounts of busy work.
9.5/10 for me. I own it on ps4. I played this game so much there. I own it on Epic but my saves are gone there. I went ahead and got a steam copy on sale and only wish they had a sequel.
