buggy, looks like someone opened unreal engine for the first time and typed ♥♥♥♥.... ruins everything
I will start by saying the concept behind Endix is truly awesome. The idea of people all over the world coming together to share their love for games and avoid having to spend lots of money for one super fun weekend is actually quite noble. The execution, however, could have used a bit more polish. There were plenty of bugs and issues, some of which I think could have been easily overcome. All in all it was a fun experience for me but I really hope next year Endix will move one step forward and bring new design ideas and a more fluid experience.

Disclosure: I have no relationship to Endix other than as a content creator. I've been attending since the very first one (2022?). It's a tiny team of developers bringing together a platform for all those gamers who want to go to a big gaming event but can't. The "game" does want you to set up an account. In the years since I have done this, I have never been spammed and I don't believe my info was ever sold. They send me an email a month or so before the next event is coming up and another a few days before it opens. This year (May2026) has had the largest turn out that I've seen. The largest rooms can get laggy. I suspect they'll update the network code and session limits to prevent this. It's a growing pain, and it is a good one. They announced they had around 600 keys to give away and they went fast. SteamDB says 2698 people have attended already. The event is not about getting the key, it is seeing a game in a custom booth and having a chance to interact with devs that made it. When is the last time you had a chance to talk with a dev in a small group or one-on-one about a game you were interested in? I got to talk to THQ directly on Friday. That was a first. The other nice thing is walking the show floor lets you stumble on games you might never had heard of otherwise. Sure, you can just watch trailers and download demos anywhere, but the experience of wandering around and experiencing something you had no idea existed is a lot of fun. Endix is a diamond in the rough. It's gotten better every year and I expect it is going to keep getting better. There are rough edges and there are bugs. The team actively works to fix them and has some tongue-in-cheek achievements for some of the bugs you might run into. Ignore the reviews of people who were just looking for a free key and didn't get one. Reviews that talk about the experience and what did or didn't work are the ones of value. As for me, I'm going to keeping going to every one they offer.
This was very fun and unique. I'm so glad I checked it out. My favourite people from my favourite game (house flipper 2) were on here, and it was soo cool to actually get to know them and hang out together! Usually I just see them in twitch streams so this was a nice opportunity to get much more personal. Going to real conventions can be expensive and a lot of work, this you can turn up in your pajamas whenever! I thought it was so neat the way so many developers got to make a little piece of their game, even with interactive things. The whole concept of this is fantastic. Making the character was really fun, I think certain parts like choosing face and eyebrow shapes etc should have a closer camera option. I also think it would be cool if you can do a sunset and nighttime cycle somehow, me, another house flipper fan, and their exhibitor actually stayed up late exploring and it was really bright in my dark room so I think that might be cool. Also the ability to lower/mute videos as the settings didn't turn them down. I'd love to come back here again!
This was my first year being invited to Endix as a creator and I was totally blown away with event. It is such a smart idea to have a digital E3 style expo that people can log into from anywhere in the world and take part in the festivities. The expo was a digital city much a kin to Barcelona, with super Yatchs in the ocean and skyscrapers. Each game that was featured during the even had their own uniquely themed room which was really cool to see. There was a whole haunted mansion full of horror games. What was the best part was I got to hang out and chat with the developers of some of my favourite games. How often do you get to rub shoulders with developers and talk to them about their games and their upcoming projects. I would recommend anyone give this event a try. They had competitions as well with Alienware which was super cool. Can't wait until the next one.
Requires an account for whatever reason, runs like crap and there's really nothing to do besides devs luring you with some in-game keys giveaway. Avoid
Why i can't entry this game?
Cool idea (going to a games con from your home), bad execution on a lot of things and bad performance, if there was a "Mixed/undecided" i'd choose that, it felt like a bad unreal engine demo (haven't check if its UE, but it definetly seems so) made by some indies/beginners (especially for the movement choices) After all this I am curious to try VR chat to see if it has similar performance issues on my PC, clunky movement and weird button choices. (doubt but idk, they sure didn't get them from any popular FPS) Movement is slow, clunky (and buggy, can get stuck in stairs and jump doesn't help, somehow "not high enough") and with weird choices: 1. cursor is on by default and doesn't move camera, despite nothing to click on (besides chat, maybe can click on other people, but not expositions, that is with E, felt pointless 99% of time) 2. for camera to follow mouse ( so for expected behaviour), you need to hold right click It at least has teleport points but half the time it bugged out and didn't teleport me (fun thing when getting stuck cause the character can't climb stairs) Performance: I have an old 1070TI, I didn't expect much, but for how bad it looks, I definetly expected better, GPU seemed my only bottleneck (tbf they might've used some settings my card can't do anymore, even tho its higher then their minimum 1060 non-ti), Very stuttery and quite a bit of rubber banding (especially when exiting some booths), defaulted to everything on epic (surprised that was "epic"), no in-game fps cap (might ve been monitor cap, but it did not reach past 110-120 fps, average was like 50, AFTER I swapped all on medium, and with all on low still 60% gpu usage), with huge fps drops that felt awful to move around. Also it gets way worse the more people are around (unsurprising, but if they want "convention" feel instead of "solo theme park", they need to fix this), this is with most people having default skins, if they add more skins + with effects and what not, it will only get worse. Booths were ok with some bigger ones doing something cool, they auto played on screen, but I'd prefer with how they have "press E to get sent to steam page" (cool idea, worked good) to also have "press E to be sent to trailer" (as sometimes can't hear it well or see it from other players. well does match to IRL booths but this is smt I'd rather not be realistic). Also 1/5 of booths trailers didn't work (it was a blank white screen). The convinince to just check many game booths from your home was really nice tho. Non "game issues": -Asks for and ENDIX account but with no option to log in through steam/epic or other popular ways. And with it happening half a year, I will probably forget the username (which is only way to use "forget password" right now), so recommend to write both somwhere, cause there's no "auto log in" either. -They advertised game keys giveaways, most of the time they weren't available, maybe they got surprised by amount of people but idk, how little they had, it felt like false advertisement. Despite all this, I stil l recommend it for people to try (after all, is free.. so far).
Ich konnte das Spiel nicht starten, da die Benutzer/Passwort-Abfrage nicht funktioniert... Punktabzug!
