Emberfate: Tempest of Elements

Well, I just cleared my first playthrough, and I cannot not recommend it. It was a really nice VN game, in any and every ways. The dubs were awesome, the characters felt real and very funny. It almost feels weird knowing these characters were nothing more than that. I went with the Nathan route, too, and it was really nicely written. I know people like him and he's very real. I liked it a lot too. Chris' drama's not my thing, but I'd be happy to do another run for Khanysia (sorry if I butchered her name here)! Plus, the game's free and it took me around 6h to clear, so I don't have any good reason not to recommend to at least try it. Great game. Good job, devs!

This is an incredibly unique VN, and i can't really understand that it is free! it definitely makes me crave for more in this style, the nostalgia or having been in a very active guild in an mmorpg when i was a teenager, with very well written characters - not literary but realistically of a chatroom. i almost wish they would return to the world of Emberfate and follow more guilds because i really wish there was more, i even likes the whole idea of managing a guild and trying to find solutions to problems and conflicts. I finished this game in about 5 hrs, so it isnt a long game at all, but it IS incredibly fun and sweet.

I really enjoyed this game! The visuals, writing and voice acting have a really high production quality, especially for a free to play game. What I liked: + The storylines. There is one overarching storyline (preparing for a new raid expansion) as well as a bunch of character-driven sidestories. Of course, the love interests have their own story, but there are also a lot of mini-stories concerning your other guild members. From mediating loot disputes over giving relationship advice to comforting friends, who are going through a rough time. The game manages to adress a wide variety of happy and serious topics and has a lot of really sweet character interactions. The friendly guild banter is also very enjoyable! + The visuals. The user interface really looks like you are playing a MMO and there are a lot of game functions, which aren't usual for a visual novel. Like different chat windows, guild rosters, inventory, party management... And even though you can't actively use spells, you still have a HP bar and ability icons, which show cooldowns while you are in a fight. There are also a lot of background images for different raid levels, dungeons or guild areas, which boost the immersion immensely! + Replayability. Even though the main story stays the same and every romance route has some fixed beats (like doing a guild event together), it still feels distinct enough to stay interesting. They each have their own personalities, struggles and character interactions. It is also really interesting to see how other decisions in sidestories or guild management affect the main story! + Cute pet pics What I disliked: - Umm... the DLC isn't released yet? I'd love more content! => There was a lot of love and effort put into this game and I can't think of anything negative to say about it. Sure, it's not a 100% accurate raid experience, but the immersion and worldbuilding is still great. It's also really easy to sympathize with the characters and get invested in their personal lifes.

Oh this was just so cute! I really loved reading the chat between the guildies, interacting with them and getting options to pick. I got the good Chris ending and he was just utterly adorable. I really wish there was more to this game. Please make more!! It's wild this game is free.
