The original and best!
I LOVE SPACE EXPLORATION MANN, THIS GAME IS HUGE 10/10
Annoyingly amazing game....
The game is interesting, it is a shame that it keeps disconnecting for whatever reason.
resolved my Menu UI problems, but currently I cant log in to play the game cause the servers are overloaded I guess with operations being released, not sure. but I cant stay connected, and Im super bummed that the Nomad is gonna be functionally 12 dollars for the next 3 months, I was expecting like 8k arx so I saved SOME but nope, THE STANDARD NOMAD, a little surface vehicle like the srv with jets instead of wheels is the same cost as the MkII Python one of the best ships in the game right now. talk about cashing in on new features. Like idk man this ♥♥♥♥ feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ malware sometimes, it won't close when I want it to, it won;t load half the time, theres ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOONE to play because the entire player base is antisocial introverts, and trying to do any of the genuinely fun content in this game is locked behind so much arbitrary grinding it makes me wanna put a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bullet in my brain. WHO THE ♥♥♥♥ WANTS TO MAKE PLAYING THIS GAME THEIR FULLTIME JOB, idk but it seems like thats what you have to do to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ANYWHERE. But hey the devs are probably happy to cater to no life whales who spend thousands of dollars on merch and cosmetics and sim setups, ♥♥♥♥ the regular old schmuck who just wants to play a fun space game. AND POSSIBLY THE WORST ASPECT OF THIS GAME IS THE COMMUNITY CONTENT I've watched so many tutorial videos, just for half the ♥♥♥♥ they are talking about to not be relevant literally half a year after the video is posted, and when it is relevant information its almost never the hyper specific thing that the game just doesnt explain to you that you NEED to know. I REALLY WANT TO ENJOY THIS GAME, but I cant get a single one of my friends to play it because of how utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is for new players and how utterly empty it STILL feels. THE DEVS CLEARLY SPEND MORE TIME MONETIZING THAN FIXING PREXISTING ISSUES. Oh and don't worry they RESET YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KEYBINDS every update isnt that nice. THE SERVERS ARE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THE SERVERS ARE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THE SERVERS ARE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I have played Elite off and on for a number of years. It was interesting to see the different approaches to space simulation between Star citizen and Elite. While Star citizen took a modular approach for building parts of the game Elite released as a finished game but with limited gameplay options and focusing on space flight and the things you can do with your ship (similar to most games before that in the genre). They did add limited planetary exploration and on foot gameplay in the two expansions which work for the most part but still limited in scope. You can't land on earth like planets which is a bummer to me but I can understand the limitations Frontier has. All that to say Elite is a very good game and while it falls short of the promise of Star citizen (as of right now Star Citizen has not quite delivered and I'm hoping it will eventually) there is a lot of fun to be had for folks who like space exploration.
for when you want an actual space game and not a tech demo that was promised 3000 years ago
GOD
graphics are good, gameplay is nice, alot of key binds but if you play for like an hour you can prob get good sense of the keybinds
DO not hesitate to end task on first launch if the planet generating system is suspiciously slow ,it doesnt reset progres and load normally , my 5.2h of playtime is me waiting for it like a dork
