In addition to being the peak of immersive game play Elite is a game that gives you true freedom. No quest markers, invisible walls or on rails story. It is just you and your ship making your own choices in a 1:1 scale representation of the milky way (that's where you live)

not a bad game. tutorial fighter does fly out of range of the combat zone tho so i couldnt complete tutorial had to skip. graphics do need some work alot of the detail isnt sharp enough for example in space stations and the writing on the console that u navigate and contact from is impossible to read with free look. i played years ago on console and i dont remember it being like that. but the flying is good alot of good mechanics and missions are good

Für mich mit Abstand die beste Raumschiff Sim. Wer auf Weltall und Raumschiff steht, der findet hier das Alpha und Omega. Bitte Frontier, ich will endlich auf meinem Schiff herum laufen können

This game feels like a chore. That's it. All there is to it. It takes pressing twenty buttons to just take off, and the controls are clunky.

game seems unplayable. im not mass locked. gears up. scoops up. i jump one time, an it literally cant jump again. need to align with an escape vector. i force closed it.

Loved it in 1986 and 40 years later it still has it.
