Presentation: 8/10 Systems: 3/10 Fun: 7/10 Playability: 2/10 Would be a great game if it wasn't working so hard against itself. The problem is that you have to spend frustration as a currency to unlock the fun, and the frustration accounts for the vast majority of the time you spend in game while the fun seems like it's always on the horizon, perpetually out of reach.
Ive played it 4 hours and literally nothing interesting has happened. This isnt my first space sim. Heck, I played the original Elite. But there is zero hook here. I'd rather play something else. In fact, I'm going to.
I LOVE ELITE DANGEROUS
The developers have decided to destroy this game. With Operations, they're solidifying their move towards a pay-to-win model, thus eliminating the few players who were interested in the game and its new content. The failed launch of Operations was their last chance to correct course. If they finally decide to launch Operations, they won't recoup the meager investment they made in developing it; the game will die within months.
I really really REALLY tried ... but honestly, this is just a tedious mess
Used to be 10/10 amazing, but sadly this game has fallen victim to Pay to Win. Do not buy.
Don't try to play on patch day. They never can seem to get it right. EVER!
Will not even allow for character creation with constant errors and bugs within 30 minutes of trying to play the game again for the first time in a decade. Couldn't connect to server to begin with as well. Awful first impression, fraught with quit moments from the first boot. Avoid at all costs.
There's so much great game here, but the controls, the UI, and the pacing ruin it for me. If you love Eve Online and such then it may be more your cup of tea, but having played the tutorials, watched videos, read wikis, I still find it awfully explained and painfully slow. Landing on and navigating planets I found especially frustrating, but the navigation controls in general are clunky and counter-intuitive. The actual content of the game, I love, but it feels buried under layers of poor design. A good example of this are the On Foot missions - the Odyssey content. You can get normal missions while landed, but you have to disembark (slow hanger animation) and walk (cross hanger, ride lift, find terminal) to an almost identical terminal interface in the concourse to get a different set of On Foot missions. This isn't explained anywhere that I saw. Maybe it was a sentence in the tutorial I missed? Oh and those missions need you to return to where you got the mission, for no reason. Mining seemed unnecessarily awkward at the start. Trading is OK, but it often isn't clear if you're buying black market goods until you try to sell them. There are a half dozen types of scanner, and it's not clear which ones you need for what activity. For example, the Detailed Surface Scanner (for scanning planet surfaces for exploration and scavenging) is actually also a really useful tool for finding stuff to mine in rings. You have system permits given and revoked (failing in progress missions in revoked systems) as you progress through ranks, leading to baffling "Congratulations on failing your mission due to rank promotion" messages. I want to love this game so much, but it seems almost punitive to play at times.
Очень красивая и атмосферная игра Если любите тематику космаса, то игра вам однозначно зайдет
