fairy gam,e..... wahhh
Not a long game by any means, my final time includes 2 failed attempts at the 20-minute speedrun cheevo. But an enjoyable little romp!
love the ideas and vibes of this game but can't in good conscience recommend it while it has whatever game-breaking bug is causing some glitter (an item you need to progress) to simply not spawn. it's cheap, so you won't lose much except time, so if you like the look of the game feel free to buy it at your own risk. if the glitter spawning bug cannot be fixed, maybe the devs could lower the amount of glitter needed to progress through the lilies? i had 143 out of 150 glitter, which is a frustratingly close number, but the last seven glitters just won't spawn.
Magical.
Fun little 2 hour collectathon. No way of tracking what rooms are clear outside the "all X collected" message when you beat a room, so if you care about that pay attention. But a fun little casual timekiller with an adorable aesthetic that took me back to when I was like 6.
very cute game, sadly due to a bug I can't finish it :(
i like when the jumpington goes "boing"
"lilypad land" 💖💖🖤 🟩 amazing tunes 🔷 nostalgia 🔴 poor platforming vibes: pretty pastel flower game-fairy loops: 3d light platforming collect-a-thon, no real enemies or anything, just gather glitter stars to unlock new areas and rescue fairies. ramblings: it's very cute, i absolutely loved the general look and art and levels. but like the forgotten shovelware 3d platformers of the era which the game is kinda nostalgia emulating, the platforming in this is just awkward and depth perception is a real problem. fiddling around with the camera can kind of help, but it can still be a nightmare, there's lots of sections where you need to hit things high in the air and trying to tell if the character and object are going to intersect or not is annoying. it's a little buggy, there were times where it would just not spawn in a piece of glitter, but i could sort of get it to spawn momentarily if i spammed the pause menu? i don't even know what's going on there. and despite all that i kinda really like the game, became briefly obsessed and 100%ed everything. it's a short one, and it's partly nostalgia, sure, but there's this hypnotic quality of just gathering collectables while the absolutely great music plays that hooked me hard. verdicts: good if you're a sucker for this kind of aesthetic or nostalgia like i am, otherwise maybe no. I felt confused, the perspective, the atmosphere, something felt off for me. There's too much detail :(
