Egg Returns Home is a physics game with absolutely minimalist artwork and controls. In this game you control an egg and you try to roll the egg by using left and right arrow keys (I didn't use a controller) and the shift key to jump even higher. You have to run through 30 levels to beat the game, but get an additional 10 levels if you wish to get to harder levels.
There is a casual and a hardcore mode, both are pretty simple. Each level requires you to get past obstacles. Some are as simple as jumping through a level like a platformer. Sometimes the platforms move. Other times you need to not land on spikes either on the ground or on the ceiling. And finally you enter levels where there are enemies moving around on a strict path. The absolute difficulty of this game is the control of the egg shaped character. Due to its egg shape, the physics are really brutal at times. To get an egg rolling at a decent speed to jump over a chasm or over spikes can be quite difficult.
Luckily, the games level typically should not take you more than 1 minute each. However, you will die, and you will die often. Easily 20-50 deaths per level or more depending on the difficulty of the level.
While I don't think this is a great game, I was entertained, therefore I'll recommend it, but with a low level recommendation. There is nothing wrong with the game, but the game is short, does not offer many gameplay mechanics at all other than throwing new obstacles at you. It's not a bad game, and it will most likely be one you will forget after having finished it.
