DER TYP IST MEGA HEIß
Tags: Adventure - VN - Visual Novel Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Minigames are poor. Instant game over dialogues are annoying. However there is a lot of exposition on a somewhat intriguing setting. Too many unresolved plot arcs. It is definitely an interestingly written game, the voice acting works well with it, characters are somewhat engaging, good characterization to them. The problem with this chapter of East Tower is that it has more exposition in it, but on the flip side, it also reveals a lot about the other characters and probably fits better as a conclusion than an intro I would think. Many sequences of the story involve ???? characters talking in very vague terms. It is mostly a VR+Amenesic protagonist story. I did fairlly well all game and I got a very abrupt ending. It might be possible to unlock a more complete and satisfying ending but in some cases I can testify that it can end abruptly. I am not talking about Game Over here, just the conclusions or endings I suppose. Conclusion: While it is enjoyable, I have a hard time really saying that I appreciate the Universe of east tower, the word it builds. It keeps being ambiguous about the nature and relationship of everyone with everyone else. It also constantly involves magical thinking and made-up solution to made-up silly situations that no one could guess the random outcome out of. The spam clicking minigames this chapter offers mades the whole thing even less interesting. Still... it might be worth forgiving those flaws for a quick playthrough if you own a copy, and I think it does a decent job of acting as a showcase that VN'S can in fact be a storytelling medium. It is just that it did not nearly deliver fully on that demonstration and I am left with my itch still a tad unscratched.
