I love the game until the end game, which is very grindy for no other reason that being able to be competitive at PVP. I have started over numerous times and would easily recommend this game to anyone who likes the Dune universe and survival games. I've easily gotten over 500 hours of fun out of this game.
It's fantastic at first - plays smooth, looks good, and seems like it might have a great story - but then you begin to wonder about things like, why am I doing this? I am just walking around in the dessert killing the same brainless scavengers who apparently inhabit every rock in the desert. I am gathering the same stuff from the same nodes constantly. I need water yet my guy never eats. Everything just respawns, and the worms aren't even an issue. You never see any players but it's an MMORPG. You will then begin to wonder if this is the whole game. Well, it is. It is boring, empty, meaningless, repetitive, and I have therefore decided to drop out before I spend 100 plus hours on a game I already know isn't going anywhere.
even with my terrible computer it's worth it - the best survival crafting game i've ever played
“Beni bir kez daha arka plana çekmeye çalışma, kardeşim.” Bug olayı olmasa iyi oyundu. Tavsiye etmem...
This is a fun 100 hours and does the Dune setting well. The survival aspects start appropriately difficult but tailor off over time then jump back hard. Upgrading equipment and unlocking skills is rewarding. Traversal is a major part of the game, and going from vehicle to vehicle is rewarding. Exploration is fun. The quests are fairly interesting. Meeting different NPCs from the books/movies is fun. After ~100 hours the fun drops off pretty hard. The Deep Desert is a punishing map, and not in a fun way: guilds control the good spots, gear upgrades are very grindy, Landsraad is a very long road for meaningful bonuses, and the game goes from fun to tedious quickly. The first trips into the DD are fun: the map is huge and dangerous. Most enemies at this point in the main zone are easy, so the step up in difficulty is appreciated. But once you venture past the A row past the shield wall, the scaling gets unpleasant. Much of the DD is RNG + logistics + lots and lots of time. Upgrades are rare. Failure is very punishing. Getting a subfief down near resources is a race against people who set their alarms to wake up early on wipe day. If you like survival crafting games and the Dune universe, this is a great game, but buy it for the early/mid/late game, NOT the endgame.
Entspannend und Aufregend zugleich macht immer wieder mal Spaß
Marvellous game, can get grindy late game but thats just an MMO thing. The combat is fun, and all the game mechanics are excellent; based in Dune lore whilst not feeling shoehorned in. For the story, i am nowhere near the end i believe, but it is incredibly enthralling and i enjoy the small differences with how characters behave due to it being an alternate timeline. Would highly recomend!!!
Great game. I have spent an insane amount of hours in this game (700+). The building mechanics are incredible. the exploration and survival mechanics are very in depth. yes, you have to think about water frequently but I honestly wouldn't say it feels like a burden when playing. My biggest problems are the following two things: it has an insane amount of small bugs. from vehicles rendering in the wrong color, or when other users fly by your base, depending on how large it is, the pieces of the base will disappear for a second almost letting your character fall through the floor. Lastly, the end game... its gotten significantly better since release. the addition of the landsraad missions and the speciality traits/levels. its been great, but i do feel like I wish there was more end game variety. ive played each mission type on each of the levels an INSANE AMOUNT OF TIMES. at this point its just hour long runs into the Deep Desert for supplies or play one of the landsraad missions for the nth time. I am complaining a bit but overall I do love the game and I am really hoping it continues to receive support and new content for years to come. you give me destiny 2 quantity of DLC and ill be a happy camper.
This is by far probably one of the better MMO Sandbox games I've played, it looks brilliant, the PVPVE combat is the best I've felt in a game like this, the atmosphere and the story is surprisingly intriguing and true to the movies (and potentially the books??), but MAN is it brutal if you aren't no-lifing it. Having bases decay and collapse over time causing you to lose everything, making the hours and hours of grinding pointless in the end simply because you want to take a break for a week or two is not exactly enjoyable. I highly recommend playing with friends, but don't expect your sessions to last forever.
