The soundtrack alone is a 10/10 Despite running round in circles and trying to figure out if there was even an ending, it was a lot of fun and even managed to give me a minor jumpscare so 10/10
short game, just install it it's pretty cute and comfy in a weirdo kinda way
Definitely worth trying, it's free.

"Dull Acres" is, just like it says on the box, "dull". This a 2D retro pixel collection of minigames you encounter by moving from room to room in this Binding of Isaac inspired "more art than game" exhibition, and as always when it comes to art school dropouts confusing Steam for an art gallery that has not yet taken out the restraining order, this is not making art better, it's just making gaming worse. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's monochrome with a crappy filter to try hide the fact the developer couldn't manage to do any better. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Very good ambience and music. Thanks for the work :)
Unique and eerie atmosphere, and there's always some strange encounter every few rooms to keep things fresh. I really liked the sound design and music.
