I guess this is a driving simulator? For some reason, this was in a bundle of 46 indie games years ago that collectively sold for $1. What an odd inclusion. How is it supposed to teach someone? Is it supposed to be hooked up to bespoke hardware? I can't imagine how you can map a car dashboard onto a keyboard or a controller. Maybe it was just a pain for me because my laptop lacks a number keypad, but it was hard to make sense of the button mapping, and I got stuck on gear 3 in the tutorial. The big blocks of command lines and reloading windows made me kind of nervous, and it stopped responding repeatedly without crashing. What do I say about this game? No, this application? The voice instruction seemed okay, but am I, as a gamer, really in a position to recommend driving instruction applications? I should take a step back. I don't think a $5 program is going to help you improve your driving skills, and it's no longer listed on its platform's marketplace anyway. As a driving simulator game? I don't know, those popular truck simulators have to be better than this, right?

I like this game or rather simulation. Really. It only has been 0.2 hrs i know AND so far no bugs and no problems whatsoever. OK now lets list what i like about this erm... simulator: [olist] [*]Smooth keyboard response. Actually probably the smoothest of all driving games and i don't even have to tweak response settings like in other games. To be fair, most other games have a competitive element so tweaking may be necessary depending on your driving / racing style. This isn't a race, it tells you your mistakes as you drive, no rush, no time limits so it's easy to adapt to the keyboard steering behaviour. II'm used to rapid key presses and this game is able to make it look smooth. Other games not so much, in particular some F1 games because as soon as i release the key the steering almost instantly centers; i don't think that's how it works IRL. This on the other hand has slow centering which is just nice at the rate i was driving and turning. [*]Did i say no bugs so far? Yes but it bears repeating. [*]I like the secondary window that shows code as the game loads and runs. It shows honesty and transparency beyond the call of duty pun intended. [*]No complaints about the graphics. I think it's ok in fact I think it's better than it needs to be because there are walking pedestrians nicely animated. Also there are many tweaking options to make it run smoothly on potato chips. [*]Default options make it easy to just drive without worrying about more realistic simulation details. You can turn them on if you like more challenging or realistic experience. [*] It's relaxing if you don't mind the voice notification at every error you're likely to make. Traffic rules you know; it's like having a cop closely watching your every move. That's why it's a learning experience if you don't know anything about road rules. If you get good, the voice responses will be few and far between. [/olist] I didn't leave a positive review just to go against the trend. I have left scathing reviews on some other poorly made games and even on some adored AAA games where i see glaring bad design decisions. This isn't a poorly made game in presentation or execution. All i see is honesty in the right to adjust graphics and gameplay to suit your preference. Sure other games have that too BUT they often leave something on regardless of your choice and that often forces you to keep up and put up. For example, bloom, a certain game allows it to be turned off BUT it still keeps some on; that's not nice IMO; it forces the gamer to put up and keep up regardless of personal preference. What's not to like? Seriously i don't know at this point. Maybe i'll add them later if there are bugs or crashes in the course of playing this more. Too bad for some of you who might want to buy this; those who didn't give this gem a fair shake caused the publisher to take it off Steam store. Less choice for us and maybe even no chance to experience what you might have liked. I'm glad i bought this, even though not remembering how; probably it came in a bundle. This is different, it's niche and it does it well IMO. Now if only Steam client maintain Windows 7 compatibility after 2024; i think most haters are using Windows 10 or higher which maybe the reason this gem doesn't work well on their PC. I would be mad at Valve if i couldn't play this anymore because of them forcing me to comply with Windows 10 requirement. 7/10 You can tell, i'm really pleased with this product.
