Dreamland Solitaire: Dark Prophecy

As much as I'd like to recommend this game, I just can't do it. It starts out fine and good and then, it turns into sheer nightmare grinding. I understand solitaire is solitaire, but this takes it to an RNG extreme in order to win after x number of games. You will grind for money in order to buy overpriced wild cards to help you get through most of the levels. This is where the RNG takes over as skill no longer has any affect on the hands. I do see how the game 'cheats' throughout in order to keep the grind going. I can shuffle a card deck hundreds of times and never see the repetitiveness that this game demonstrates. I won't even go into all the little details of how this is done. Suffice to say that it is an extreme amount. Uninstall. Just no interest or fun anymore.

You think you're playing solitaire, but there is little to no skill involved, its all down to luck and RNG. This is the 3rd of the series, its the worst of the series. The last level i played had over 64 cards on screen, you have a hand of 30, this would be fine if there where not so many "blocker" cards in the way, most of the time you only have access to 4-6 cards to remove but RNG isn't on your side it can be 2 cards and 4 blocked ones. I have now played over 200 levels and I don't think I can bring myself to go through the next 100 odd. There is a story, its rubbish, play the other versions, skip this one.

[i] My Experience [/i] I suppose I can recommend Dark Prophecy, although Adept Studios GD absolutely subscribes to the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" philosophy of game development. Dark Prophecy seems to have both the same upgrades and abilities, and all of the same in-level obstacles as the previous game in the series, Dragon's Fury. One thing that the Dreamland Solitaire series does very well is provide a satisfying audiovisual feel. Something is always burning, steaming, shattering, clicking, or cracking, and this makes the player feel that their actions are having more of an impact on the table of cards than in some other +1/-1 solitaire games, where you're just watching each card disappear as you click it. However, there were certain things about the story this time around that struck me as more "phoned in." On many occasions, the fairy will want to hang around a location after the evil has been vanquished to "beautify" it, adding colorful adornments, etc. In addition, your heroes conquer the villain when the game is only 2/3 over! You spend the rest of the time pursuing tasks that feel much less urgent and exciting. Lastly, I have to say something about the level where the wizard constructs a palace for two ne'er-do-wells on a magic carpet. My wizard can summon an entire chateau out of thin air, but we're stuck in the desert until we can borrow a magic carpet? I dunno, maybe summon a hot-air balloon? If you played Dreamland Solitaire: Dragon's Fury, then you certainly know what to expect here. Pick up Dark Prophecy if you're in the market for more levels and locations.

Horribly boring. I feel as if l played a free google game. No long chains combos, only single cards even in the first levels. There are much more interesting card games on Steam.

纸牌接龙游戏，半个月打完该系列3部作品，三者售价一样。 第1部：200关，9.5小时。 第2部：200关，17小时。 第3部：280关，21.5小时。新增用提灯驱散雾气、用剪刀剪断绳子的机制。 本作是第3部，性价比最高。 剧情充满性别刻板印象，一路喂屎，宁愿像第一部那样没剧情： 女巫到处搞破坏，声称要君临天下。主角队要打倒她，老年男巫师carry全程，男骑士负责物理输出，网红锥子脸小仙子负责添加没什么用的装饰。 女巫原本是美丽善良、天赋异禀的法师，培养了一种特殊的玫瑰，邪恶之人遇之会迅速变老变丑，她姐妹就中招了，嫉妒她依然美貌，遂将她的灵魂卖给恶灵，想她也变丑，结果她没变丑，反而被分割成两个人格，原人格沉睡，新人格出来作乱（骑士懊悔道自己为了守贞而拒绝跟她结婚可能火上浇油了）。 消灭黑暗人格后，骑士向苏醒的善良人格求婚，失忆的她一醒来就惊呼骑士长得好帅，一口答应（但立绘看起来只是个颜值普通甚至有点丑的四五十岁老登）。 看不懂屎在哪儿？进一步解释此处的性别刻板印象： 1、女人服美役、雌竞、恋爱脑。 2、女人不是红颜祸水就是挂件，男人拯救世界。 3、在浅薄的男权叙事中，成年女人大致分三类：贞洁贤妻，淫荡娼妓，邪恶女巫。本作是全年龄，没有娼妓，小仙子属于未成年定位，女巫的两个人格正好分别代表贤妻和邪恶女巫。 虽然本作重点是打牌而不是剧情，但还是有必要通过差评对制作组和其他玩家发出警示。

I played the two other dreamland solitaire games to 100% and enjoyed them. This one, however, gets a thumbs down because I'm 160 levels in, and the feeling I'm most often left with is "when does it end?" The card layouts have gone from challenging and interesting, to big and confusing, and too often you're left with one accessible card which uncovers a card unlocker which opens up the one accessible card which uncovers a card unlocker. With the level of grind and the price of jokers, I almost expect to find IAP options to make the game easier.
