I got this title as part of a giveaway and only have about 8 hours on clock at the time of this review. First I should note that each "mission" seems to range in the 3 to 5 minute range. For me this is not a bad thing since I have a young child that I have to get up quickly for. There are still a few things that are a little un-intuitive at first but once it clicks makes sense. One tag that I think is missing from the title is "rogue-lite" so if you're into that genre then this will definitely fit there. As you play you gather these green gem things and armor/weapon parts. You then use these to build permanent weapon/armor/drone upgrades. So even if you take a risk doing a mission that may be a little too hard for you it's not like a "rogue-like" where you would lose all of your progress thusfar. I'm excited to see where future updates take this little title. Awesome work Tryzna!
UI is too intrusive, scan lines blur the visuals, game is too dark so you cant see anything. Besides that its a really good game, but so far it needs a lot of work. Also the pixelart just looks bad. I would wait until the visuals become more bearable, because no matter how fun it feels, i just cant see anything, there isnt enough contrast from the background and the enemies.
Simple, though that isn't to say it's bad. Basically the game works off a shoot n loot formula, similar to games like Borderlands, where it's about gaining levels and with them stat and talent points to spec your character to your tastes and gear to fit your playstyle. It's a lot lighter than a full game such as Borderlands, but it's not to say it isn't still fun, and it's a fairly small pricetag... if the idea of a rinse and repeat cycle of strength gaining to take on harder challenges under the format of a Contra-style side scrolling schmup appeals to you, it's worth a try... don't expect anything TOO deep, there are a lot of options (gear, skills, talents, inscribing, enchanting, asymetrical classes) to vary your build from, but none of their effects are that drastic individually, so gameplay will always be simple... and while I enjoy the assembled collection of enemies and the environment and it's dynamic weather brings a smirk too my face, there really is very little variation between foes and environs... it's procedurally generated, but there just don't seem to be many assets to work with... I've played better games like this (I rather enjoyed Collapsed, recently), but there are also more popular games I found far less interesting (this game is very similar to Torchlight in many ways, but I found that far more dull and shallow, frankly). If you're looking for a fun time-filler with a small footprint in your wallet, it's not bad... just temper your expectations, seeing as it's nothing revolutionary either.
Dreadborne Drifters looks rough, but in a good way. Explosions shake the levels, gibs fly around, bullets and laser fire everywhere. It surely fits the game’s screwball pacing. It’s an Early Access title that’s currently lacking a real endgame. However, with its more than fair price and tantalizing promises of over-the-top cartoon violence, that’s not needed (yet). Making things go boom is a good start! (full review: https://indiegamesplus.com/2019/06/dreadborne-drifters-is-a-fast-paced-messy-loot-a-palooza)
kardeş oyunu blasted road terror gibi bu da sürükleyici ve gelişim üzerine kurulu bir yapım. tryzna83 firmasının bence 2 oynanabilir oyunundan biri. tam bir piksel hack&slash. indi olmasına rağmen hareketli retro müzikleri kesinlikle güzel. farklı karakter sınıflarıyla oynamak ayrıca oyun süresini uzatabiliyor ufak karakter geliştirmeli piksel grafik seven shoot'em up'çılara tavsiye ederim.
A very good game and it's worth the money!
Literally 2D Borderlands. AMAZING!
Dreadborne Drifters shows a lot of promise at this early stage. I haven't played for long but for this game it is enough to get a very good understanding of the general game loop. You select your class, which seem very different from one another, go do a mission which can have from one to 4 objectives set by difficulty, collect loot and then come back to base where you are rewarded after every three missions you do. At the base you will craft new equipment, enhance your abilities and then go back out and do it all over again. The sounds and music in this game are pretty darn satisfying in my opinion and fit the fast paced nature of the game. Tryzna will have to continue to add more content and mission mechanics for it not to get somewhat stale after a short time. However, the general game play loop is there and it is very strong. Looking forward to future updates!
Pretty simple but enjoyable game. You looty you shooty, if you think that's fun, you'll like this game
Massive death in bite sized niblets is the name of the game (It's actually not the games name but it should be!) 2D side scrolling, full on aerial dashing/hovering 360 degree aiming for most skills and weapons, 2-5 minute missions, 3 classes, levels, and lotsa loot, its a very basic simple loop but its very addictive very fast. If you enjoy fast paced chaotic AF levels with bullets everywhere then I suggest giving it a try for less than a price of whatever value meal at (INSERT RANDOM FAST FOOD JOINT)
