Other than the weird parts, the game is pretty good. + Amazing combat, coordinating attacks against both mobs and giant enemies is just pure fun. The skills you get also get really bonkers, and it is very interactive with the environments. Using ricocheting arrows in a tight narrow hallway is criminally fun. + At a glance the open world map feels small, but it is densely packed with stuff to discover. No two dungeons feel the same and the terrains are varied too. Exploration just feels good. + As an open world game it's also not the kind where you can just bumrush through the game blind, e.g. if you go out at night you can't see jack, and enemies spawn more often to gank you. You gotta stock up on supplies like lanterns. Foodstuff can spoil. It is, dare I say, immersive... And on to the weird parts: - The game ends really abruptly. This is like 10% actual story and 90% unrelated fetch quests. I understood the main conflict that's going on and the characters' motives, but it was just such an abrupt end that you'll definitely go "...that's it?" - They often say the postgame is where the game actually starts, but personally it is just bleh. You now have a dark, drab yellow skybox going on all the time you can barely tell daytime from nighttime. There are new enemies (mostly repaints) and stuff to find in the open world, but the world looks so ugly that it's really hard to bother doing that. Overall, I recommend it solely for that open world and combat experience. But I'm at an impasse in the postgame; people say the BBI expansion is the amazing part, but it apparently also requires grinding some levels before going in, which is a big turnoff to do with the only options being an open world turned ugly and a repetitive dungeon loop in the form of Everfall. 7/10.
jogo bom da porra, o unico problema e que se falhar em uma missão, não pode repetir mais
I just think its neat
melei todo quando joguei
Best Open World Fantasy RPG ever made, its fully about exploration and writing your own story, there's almost no hand guiding you, just quests and a large world for you to explore, with treasure, enemies and bosses waiting for you anywhere and everywhere
This game is a flawed masterpiece. It's beautiful, frustrating, touching, confusing, a power fantasy, surreal, endearing and unique in a way that's rarely seen in other games. There's many confusing and sometimes even frustrating part of the game but it's also incredibly sincere and doesn't try to hide itself. you'll see every face of it at face value, and i appreaciate it for that. if you're not scared if trying something strange but incredibly beautiful, then i cannot recommend this game enough.
-First of all I think the whole Idea behind this game is fantastic, if your looking for an RPG and general fantasy feel I believe Dragon's Dogma truly hits the nail on the head. -Combat feels amazing, really a lot of opportunity to feel badass. Do you want to send poor goblins flying with the sweep of your great sword? Steal the wives of powerful men with your Gigachad charm and aura? Well then this game is for you. -There are a lot of ways to play, a lot of different enemies to fight, and just a lot of secrets to find around the game in general. -The voice actor for Grigori is truly amazing. best depiction of a dragon in any game. Period. The anticipation building up to the final boss encounter of the main game is really well done. -Some quests are certainly dated, and maybe could've used some more polish, this is apparent at the beginning of the game. But give it a chance! The main story and overarching themes are amazing, And there are plenty of twists to the story and how to world changes around you that are really cool. Don't even get me started on the Dark Arisen expansion and content.. Its peak. -I'll also say, there are some cutscenes that are laughably bad. And some voice acting too that is straight hilarious. It does its job though and makes for some memorably funny moments and vocal stims. This is one of my favorites, and if you give it a shot, It just might be one of yours too. P.S. I'm waiting for the 2nd game to get its updates and Dark arisen expansion then I'll be trying that one out too. (I heard the voice actor for Grigori is returning and upon hearing him in the trailer I feel like he sounds different? not quite the same somehow? maybe im trippin) Thanks for reading :)
It's cheap if you just want to check things out. It's very retro capcom coded. Very janky in a lot places. The menu design especially. It has a very charming retro and rustic feel to it. It really feels like it wasn't to have a type of DnD feel to it, where DD2 doesn't have. I didn't really enjoy myself, but it doesn't help I wanted to play Warrior. The class is even more basic than DD2's version. For the best experience you probably want to play Fighter or Assassin as they are very fast and versatile. I'm looking forward to DDDA2.
This game is wonky, dead and abadoned in all parts that matter. Best stay away.
