had me sitting so long it gave my behind some problems
divertido
I put in 100 hundred hours at launch. Did every single thing. Now that performance has been generationally improved (Though that should have been done 2 years ago) and the DLC on the way, I think now if any time is the time to really dig into this game. Replaying it has been so fun, put in another 70 hours, and man has it been a blast. I don't really have much to say for the story, it's fun, and entertaining, but nothing to write home about. Monster variety gets pretty stagnant and there isn't really a proper end game, but thats what the DLC is for. All in all, if you have been wanting to but holding off, now is the time. This game is a solid 8/10 for me. And I cannot wait for the DLC.
This game is great in a lot of ways, but ultimately, its flawed storytelling is why I can’t recommend it. All of the quests require you to do things in very specific ways, ways that don’t really make a lot of sense. Other games would allow for multiple solutions, but with DD2 it’s like the designer said, “here’s the one way I think each quest should be done, let’s ignore everything else.” Add to that, that most if all the good parts you have to stumble on… Add to that, that it’s really easy to ruin a run accidentally… And the world feels “dead” most of the NPCs are just background. Sure, they say a few lines but they don’t ever really do anything. It’s not that the game is hard, it’s not. It’s that every quest requires such specific actions. You will not have a satisfying walkthrough unless you use guides because then you’ll miss everything… but using guides, it feels like you’re acting out a script for the pleasure of the game designer. It should be their job to entertain you not the other way around. My advice for the studio: Before your next release, every member of the design team must watch a family member playthrough the game… BUT you’re not allowed to give them ANY hints or advice. Besides that, the engine is fine, the combat is lively, and the graphics are just below top-notch. This should be a fantastic game… just the way the storyline is so forced, it’s not fun.
Super fun Game. Maybe not 100% optimized, but truly a step forward compared with DD1 (where I sunk 200h in Switch). Combat is absolutely awesome, especially against Big Monsters (troll fight in the big city is gorgeous, not sure if It was a random encounter or already planned in the game). World is really beautiful and alive. Main and secondary characters are good enough, but real and most iconic ones are other player Pawns. With their repetitive anoying dialogues but especially with their completly different and fun behaviours they learn from their players. The Pawn system is simply glorious. Another positive point is the possibility to change between vocations... If you get bored from a playstyle, just change vocation! (Side note for DD1 fans like me: there is no min max in this game, so you can swap vocations anytime without any remorse). I also strongly recommend to travel naked at night and without Pawns. Then It becomes a soulslike.. or survival Game... or both. But very fun either way. This game really worth It if you liked (as I did) DD1, and even if you never heard about it but want to enjoy a fun combat system, an original pwan system, and to never get bored switching between vocations. Now 17h and sure I will go beyond 100hs easily.
After what was one of my favorite games ever, in Dragons Dogma 1. This didnt quite do the whole "bigger and better" metric I was so ecstatic to wait over 10 years for. But it did give me a new world to explore and fall not quite as in love with, but still good. Nothing will ever beat the pawn system to me, even though I wish they weren't locked out of certain vocations. If only more games could implement half the things this one does. Good game.
combate é excelente e a grande reviravolta do jogo eh mto boa.
If your going to buy a game just wait for dragons dogma 2 dark arisen, because the amount of pettiness that they did to dragons dogma 2 after the first dark arisen game is truly petty, do understand the game is not bad but all it really is, Is just a reskin of the first dragons dogma, they did the exact same thing back then that they did now, the endgame for dd2 is literally just as bad as dd1 yet you have to wait for DA just to have a solid endgame or even for it to be fun to even play, so yea just wait till october, if you cant then by all means go for it but for me i should have waited it out. if they even bother for a Dragons Dogma 3 just know i wont be buying there crap till the 3rd Dark Arisen.
