DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA is Dragon Ball's first team-oriented free to play game.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

Do not allow my time played on Steam deceive you, I have spent most of my time playing on mobile and was intending to swap to PC at a later date. With that being said, I cannot recommend this game under any circumstances. First of all, the game has always had issues. New characters came out bugged on release, updates which frankly made no sense, and a predatory gacha and exclusive characters only for people who either played religiously or opened their wallets. But despite all that, I truly loved this game. I never played either beta, but I have been playing since Day 1 of Season 0 and enjoyed my time, even through my annoyances with it. It was my very first MOBA and I'm thankful for the time I spent playing it. However, now the game I loved is being killed and it's corpse is being resurrected into a game that is completely different from what was marketed. Any and all interest I had in continuing to play instantly evaporated and to be frank, I feel betrayed. And I know many of my fellow players feel the same. They cited low player counts as the reason for the sudden pivot, however they fail to realize that they are selling out their loyal players just to chase something else. I anticipate that after the overhaul, there will still be massive performance issues and bugs, if not even worse. So do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Gekishin Squadra as you can.

i will change this review if they rollback on the future overhaul.
i cant wait to uninstall this game in december when it turns into another mid hero shooter
Game was really good, I had a lot of fun in my 50 hours and don't regret the money I spent on the game. BUT I am incredibly disapointed in the new direction that will surely kill the game or at the very least make it something entirely different to what it was. I will miss this version of the game.
I was looking forward to the release of this game. Even though it wasn't playable for a while, I didn't overhype it or set my expectations too low; I was just waiting. I played it on both mobile and PC (using a different account), and my impressions are highly negative. 1) Terrible Optimization The optimization is awful. My phone gets incredibly hot only when playing this game; in any other game, it barely gets warm. Here, I literally have to use a phone cooler to keep the temperatures down. On PC, it gets moderately hot, which is still somewhat tolerable. 2) Awful Matchmaking The matchmaking takes forever and is poorly balanced. Even if you are Rank A, the game might pair you with Rank D players or literal beginners who have no idea what they are doing, leading to an instant loss. To make matters worse, you can get a bot on your team that constantly throws by running into enemy towers and dying, feeding the opponents and making them stronger. 3) Broken Balance Balance is the most crucial aspect of any MOBA, but here, every new character is completely overpowered compared to the rest. They dominate the meta for at least a month before getting nerfed. Furthermore, if you lose just one early-game fight, you are highly likely to lose the entire match. The enemy instantly gets a level advantage and stronger abilities, allowing them to freeze your lane and steal your farm. You can’t do anything about it, especially with a bot teammate constantly feeding. As for bosses and cards: once the enemy secures a boss, it gives them a massive advantage that is impossible to counter if you behind from the early game. Regarding the cards, honestly, only the damage-oriented ones are actually useful; the rest feel completely pointless. 4) Role Imbalance If you are playing solo, you are practically forced to play as an Attacker. Other roles are completely useless on their own. In a genre where teamwork is supposed to be key, this game simply rewards whoever deals the most damage. That’s all from me.
NO OVERHAUL
This game has been out too long for voice chat to not exist. There is no reason for such a prehistoric communication method in this game. U can make one mistake and be punished and offed in less than a second, yet you are REQUIRED to go thru menus to communicate one small message. This is the reason no one cooporates. people never learn any information playing this game in complete solitude. FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE ARE TOO STUPID FOR VOICE CHAT NOT TO EXIST!!
The game had so much potential, but it was plagued with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ decisions from both Bandai and the team behind it: crappy balancing, pay-to-win character practices, and little to no decent customization options. But it was still fun to boot up for a few games every day. Post-Season 7, the game is getting completely gutted and reworked into another generic arena slop fighter with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ microtransactions to boot. If you wanna play a decent MOBA before the end of 2026, I'd say there's still fun to be had, but there's literally no reason to get invested in the game, as it's not going to be the same game after that. Just play Sparking Zero instead if you want a decent DBZ arena fighter.
Im playing this game cause its a moba :)
I really enjoyed this game, Dragon Ball is a show I've grown to love over the years, in fact Squadra helped me love characters I'd never thought I'd like. It really sucks what they're doing to the game now, killing it and forcing it to become Dragon Ball Rivals, but I'll still stick with this game until then. The hero shooter may be more engaging to the average DB fan, but this game will always hold a place in my heart. I was never a big MOBA player, the only one I had ever played was Pokemon Unite, and that wasn't that fun of an experience. Dragon Ball was a common interest for my friends and this is something most of us can play together. I really wish they didn't have to kill this game because of the numbers its getting.
