DOOM

DOOM is full of game crashes and huge FPS dips, making it almost unplayable at times. I actually enjoyed the story and the gameplay, but the technical issues completely ruined the experience for me. Near the end, it got even worse at one point all the colors disappeared from the game. Great game underneath, but in its current state it was a very frustrating experience.

A class-act arena FPS in every regard. Gameplay, sound and level design, graphics, and lore are just as great today as they were ten years earlier. Higher difficulties still feel fair and enemies never feel spongy. \ A truly badass arsenal of weapons all feel snappy and satisfying. After playing the game three times collectibles and challenges can be a little annoying, but offer fun challenges and discoveries through the first few playthroughs. Also present is a fully-fleshed (though dead) multiplayer mode and versatile level editor, something later entries unfortunately lack.
