The movie is pretty good.
the game runs only on a half screen and i cant see what happend in the game ,run very slow in some points, the game is unplayable dont buy it!
Really disappointed. The game is visually the same, but the sounds are off slightly and some are missing completely. The FIRST little hyena boss fight is suppose to play some boss fight music but it doesn't, it just stays ambient like the entirety of level 1. I died a few levels in and pressed continue but it restarted my entire game over anyways. I'll just play this on my Sega or emulate it.

This game is impossibly fun. Would recommend with a controller. Just as difficultas I remember.
The water hole? What's so great about the water hole?
Oh god, I had no idea my favorite childhood game was on Steam! =0 Good thing I finally found it and even managed to avoid all the technical difficulties that seem to be rather common with this version of the game among other players. On top of that the game doesn't have any sort of modern adjustments like saving or ability to take screenshots, but if that doesn't bother you too much I can wholeheartedly recommend this blast from the past. The art is incredibly pretty, the music is really atmospheric and gaming mechanics are varying enough to make each level unique. Some people seem to claim that the game is too hard, but there is an option to adjust the difficulty level - which is a completely valid option, no matter what others say! In easy mode there's enough lives and continues to keep the game going even through the most difficult parts, even if you are a somewhat mediocre player. It was so cool to finally see the end of the game, as the version I had as a kid always froze after the first adult Simba level. =')
It is a re-release of the DOS game. Other than that, it works great, finished the game - twice - with no problem whatsoever: no stutter, no crashes, no glitches, no slowdowns, no audio issues. And this while playing on a Windows 10 laptop.
THIS GAME IS EVERYTHING
Game says that it has 10 levels. I have been playing this since the SNES days. I swear there is no more than 1.5 levels. Trigger warning for 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King'
