Right now, it's not too fun to play because of a lack of polish and the ball just seems to have a mind of its own at times but it has potential and hopefully with enough updates it will be more worthy of playing
Hi! This is my first time doing a game review, so here's my piece on it. Dillo's Dilemma is a pretty decent shot at bringing pinball elements to a 3D platformer. As an avid Sonic the Hedgehog fan, I was impressed by how decent Dillo rolled around and went faster downhill than uphill. I'd love to see a future sequel iterate upon this and the pinball mechanics. The levels were also a decent time, particularly the first and last levels. The game was a fair time, to where I might let one of my kid siblings play it. Now, for the improvements: -There are a few moments where it felt like Dillo could overlap and clip through things, even other characters. -Dillo feels rather slow without curling up into a ball, meaning I was more likely to use the ball form than actually walk. It's not bad, but for precision platforming you might want to consider upping his walk speed. Consider more moveset potential, as other games like Sonic Mania has great new moves like the Drop Dash. -The final boss felt a little on the easy side, as the lasers were dodgeable besides the lower ones tripping me up and the last few hits. Alas, I'd have liked for at least a miniboss or two to indicate the Rat King's looming threat better. -I'm unsure of how I keep track of fireflies, so having counters in each world would be cool. I could say the same for a map system, as I felt completely lost in the Rat King's kingdom before the mines. -The game could use some optimization on details. I tried playing on high a few times and it's gotten my laptop to shut down. Though that might be because my laptop processor is an Intel 13th Gen i7, meaning it's notorious for putting the fans through heck. Medium felt good, but lacked some of the warm lighting the higher graphics options had. -Finally, the "pinball builder" zones could either be expanded upon or have a rethink on mechanics. They're good, but if platforming is a mainstay, I don't know how far things could go. Otherwise, it's lovely for what was done in a possibly short time. Overall, this isn't that bad for a game from an FIEA Capstone. Lots of zones to improve, but I enjoyed the small amount of time I had with this game. Good luck on your next endeavor, Moonspice!
