DigDeep is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam, although in this case, not as a cash grab, because it's free. It's a basic "endless runner" with a basic twist, you're continually digging and falling. The objective, like any other endless runner, is to position yourself left or right to pick up the good stuff and avoid the bad stuff, ad nauseum, because you can't stop. What fun. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts, but this is no surprise, mobile apps simply don't belong here, even for free.

An excellent minimalist game. Easy left and right controls with sprint as the main skill you must master. With the help of some power-ups and learn to reacting to oncoming terrain you'll have hours of fun and the challenge is not overly complicated. Great music with great heart bumping rhythm. The graphics are great too but not complicated.

+ Free to play + Great for a few minutes break - But after few breaks i doubt you will want to play it again, if you are not into runner-like and endless games - Lack of option to change to window mode Dig Deep game might be actually more fun to play it on mobile instead of PC but hey, you should try it yourself. The game won't take much space on your HDD/SSD and after few minutes you will figure out by yourself if you want to play it more or not.
