This account merely holds a fraction of my hours played. this game was a perfect part of my childhood, my forming years, and have been loyal since day one of D1. Arise my beloved IP. GUARDIANS MAKE THEIR OWN FATE
The Grind Never Changes
I've been playing Destiny 2 on and off for years. Every time a new expansion launches, I tell myself, *"Maybe this is the one."* I reinstall, catch up on everything I missed, grind my Power, chase a few weapons, and remember why I fell in love with the gameplay in the first place. Then, after a few weeks... ...I remember why I uninstalled. The cycle never really changes. There's always another reputation vendor. Another battle pass. Another seasonal activity. Another list of weapons to grind before they're overshadowed by the next batch. The game doesn't reward taking breaks. It punishes you for them. Every time I come back, I feel like I'm sprinting just to catch up before the next expansion, episode, or event rolls around.
Coming Back Shouldn't Feel Like Starting Over
One of Destiny 2's biggest problems is how unfriendly it is to returning players. After taking a break, you're greeted with dozens of quests, multiple expansions, currencies you don't remember, systems that have changed, and NPCs talking about events you never got to experience because they were removed from the game. Instead of feeling welcomed back, I spend my first few hours trying to figure out what I'm even supposed to be doing. That's not exciting. It's exhausting.
Playing Solo Feels Like an Afterthought
The older I've gotten, the less I want to spend my evenings scheduling raids, joining Discord servers, or rolling the dice with random LFG groups. Sometimes I just want to log in, throw on some music, and enjoy Destiny by myself. The game constantly reminds me that's apparently not how Bungie wants me to play. Want some of the best loot? Find a group. Want to experience some of the best encounters? Find a group. Want to complete certain Triumphs, Titles, or endgame challenges? Find a group. Yes, Fireteam Finder exists now. No, it doesn't magically solve the problem. Playing with random people isn't the same as having friends who regularly play, and not everyone wants to gamble on strangers after a long day. As a solo player, it often feels like you're paying the same price as everyone else while being locked out of some of the game's best experiences.
Final Thoughts
I've genuinely lost count of how many times I've uninstalled Destiny 2... only to reinstall it months later because I remembered how incredible the gameplay feels. And every single time, it's the same story. I have fun. I remember how satisfying the combat is. Then I hit the paywalls. Then I hit the grind. Then I remember that so much of the content I actually want to play is built around having a dedicated group. Then I uninstall again. Destiny 2 has some of the best gunplay, world-building, and art direction in the industry. It's a shame they're buried beneath years of expensive DLC, endless FOMO, confusing progression, and a game that increasingly feels like it was designed for everyone... except the solo player.
Nice..............

WE ARE BACK BABY!!!
They should have never killed this over Marathon. That game is so ♥♥♥♥ and I’m tired of being gaslighted that it’s not so I wrote this review instead. I’m not going quietly. For all its issues, Destiny 2 is a part of my childhood and Destiny 1 as well. Killing this franchise and continuing to ignore its player base, while actively supporting a game that was dead on launch, and blaming all their failures on destiny while also praising a literal dead game on their earnings call is truly pathetic. I will continue to rage against the machine and play this game until the lights go out. ♥♥♥♥ Sony and ♥♥♥♥ Bungie leadership for letting this happen. The most I can hope for is for others to do the same. Stay strong Guardians.
Ну поиграл в эту игру до максимума( На бесплатном контенте) Понял что дальше без рубля не как и послал ♥♥♥♥♥ этих Фашистких уёбков . ♥♥♥♥♥ идите !
A franchise with endless possibilities squandered by corporate greed and board members who are out of touch with the audience they have captured. Amazing memories were created because of this game, ultimately it was still killed out of the blue, Sony and Bungie hopefully have no further success in their game development endeavors. Go spend your time wisely instead of wasting it on a game that has died.
