It functions as expected and has all the features that products like Virtual Desktop has when not running standalone for the small price of free
I can only recommend this for the legacy version. The current version is way too user unfriendly.
It's nice but not that useful for me personally

Since I only play simulators in VR, I needed a tool that would let me easily toggle the desktop view on and off with a hotkey. Something that allows me to launch games or apps in VR without having to mess around with VR controllers, or quickly jump to the desktop mid-game using just my mouse and keyboard. This app does exactly that, flawlessly! Now my workflow is simply: * Launch SteamVR (with SteamVR Home disabled, Desktop+ launches automatically with it) * Put the headset on * Wait for VR to boot up into the empty SteamVR grid view * Press Ctrl+Shift+1 (which I’ve bound to toggle the "Show desktop window") * Do whatever I need on the desktop, launch games, tools etc. * Press Ctrl+Shift+1 again to close the window and jump back into the game Works like a charm. I haven’t even touched my VR controllers in months. Before finding this app, messing with controllers just to launch a game and some utility tools (especially when you are already in the game, ready to go, and realise that you have forgotten to launch joystick FFB software etc.) was incredibly frustrating. Waiting for controllers to boot up, finding out the batteries had drained on their own, shaking/button-mashing to wake them up in confusion, or blindly hunting for them from desk with the headset already on... absolute pain. Honestly, I’d gladly pay a few bucks for this functionality alone, even though I'm using only like 0.1% of what this app can actually do. Huge thanks to the developers!
ok
