Didn't love the horror aspect too much, but the puzzles were great, really used the OS backdrop amazingly the sort of puzzles that stump you for a while and then make you regret looking up a guide thinking, "Man i wish i let myself figure that out!"

Highly Recommend. The overarching story is both shown and told without being spoonfed to the player and maintains it seriousness and depth. Just enough "horror" to be creepy and unsettling but still playable. The puzzles are challenging and engaging. I appreciate the option to have the CRTV graphics on or off. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and will be replaying and recommending it to all of my friends.

Absolutely amazing experience - the puzzles were just difficult enough to not breeze through them but also not frustrate you. Like many others have said, this does not complain jumpscares - the horror is purely from the story and ambiance. A beautifully told tale. I can only recommend it!

A great puzzle game with an impeccable aesthetic and well written story. The investigation element is more of a narrative framing device rather than an actual game-play mechanic, so if you're looking for an experience like Roottrees or Hypnospace Outlaw, this is not it. The game also desperately needs some accessibility options, with few puzzles in the second act being near impossible to solve for colourblind individuals or those who struggle with fine motor control. Still, I'd highly recommend Desktop Explorer to anyone who enjoys well-crafted puzzles and a little bit of mystery.

뭔가 퍼즐의 연속인데 풀면서 딱히 지적 쾌감이 없음. 재미없는 구몬 숙제 푸는 느낌. 스토리도 중반부까지 본거같은데 몰입될만한 미스터리도 안되고 공포도 아닌 이도저도 아닌 스토리.

第一章很神，符合主题剧情也清晰，第二章加入3d见仁见智吧挺对我脑电波的，第三章有点赶工和公式化成分，和前面相比起来有的解谜摸不着头脑可以说很牵强，解谜和剧情，分配上 质量上 对比前面肯定是失调[spoiler] 特别高塔那部分有点莫名。。。最后把三章串起来可能是想再圆剧情吧不过总归偏太多了差点意思 [/spoiler]缺点其实也就说的这些，整体仍是值得好评的

I played Desktop Explorer this weekend. Actually, I wanted to work this weekend, but I just couldn't get myself to do it, so I kept putting it off. Maybe I need some way to force myself to start working. Maybe even working for just a little while would be good enough. At least it's better than doing nothing. Anyway, I'm getting away from my main point. Back to the game. I have some thoughts about it. I don't know when the game was published, but it really made me think about AI. [spoiler]The game mainly tells the story of a father who made an app called *Desktop Explorer*. The app collects information from your computer and uses it to create new games or apps designed to comfort you or help with your psychological problems. The father uses the app to spy on his daughter. However, he is too confident in the app and doesn't realize that it has misunderstood his daughter. In the end, the app encourages his daughter to kill herself, drives the father crazy, and even hurts another person who later owns the computer—the player's uncle. The player has to solve puzzles to uncover the truth and finally uninstall the app.[/spoiler] I just think this app sounds a lot like AI today. If we trust AI and allow it to access all the information on our computers, it could potentially become something like this app. But the information on a computer isn't everything about a person. Real life contains many other things that define us, and AI will never be able to fully understand all of them. Actually, even if AI could observe us in real life in the future, there would still be things that we never talk about with other people, but only think about in our own minds. Those things might still be impossible for AI to understand. So, a person can never be fully defined by a set of information. But what about uploading the human mind? I think that's another topic we could discuss another time. All in all, it's quite a great game. I found Part 1 very impressive and creative, but Parts 2 and 3 were a little boring. I think it would have been better if the game had explored more OS-based puzzles rather than ordinary puzzles, because the OS puzzles were what attracted me to buy the game in the first place. Anyway, it's still worth trying if you like puzzle-solving games with a little bit of horror. Nice weekend!
