Defense Grid 2: Steam Special Edition Upgrade

I have exactly one question: why does it exist? It is an audio book that runs in flash with no proper controls and no subtitles. Even worse: this is a story of a tower defense game - a genre that doesn’t really need any story in the first place. And just to nail the coffin - it is done in the same exact annoying manner as the story is done in game - but there you could mute it and actually have fun playing the game, here though? Oh, and it is also standalone even though it has DLC in its name. It should be in some “gold edition” of the game as a bonus material, not as its own thing.

The game in it's present state is not worth the frustration of getting it open, then it is an exercise in futility to actually arrive at a playable game interface. I am inclined to attribute the bulk of the irritations to the use of Flash as platform. I do not recall when the MS world closed the door on Flash. In my humble opinion it wasn't soon enough. Perhaps you can do better - know that I have experienced deep frustration with most aspects of this build.

Defense Grid 2 の動画。 Defense Grid 2 Special Edition を買うと付いてくる。 一応フラッシュ形式になっていて、ほんのちょっとだけ選択肢を選んだりできる。 DG2のランチャーからも起動できるし、ライブラリから直接起動することもできる。 長さ的には40分程度。 字幕もなく画面もいくつかの一枚絵が十数秒ごとに表示されるだけ。 延々と続く会話を聞いてると眠くなる。 一応、10秒進めたり戻したりできる。 正直言っておまけ程度。 付いてくるからやるか程度のゲーム（というか動画）だろう。 しかし、Special Edition を買うと DG/DG2 の画集がPDF形式で付いてくる。 詳しい説明は商品説明に書いてあるので省くが、こちらの画集は280MBにも及ぶ大容量で非常に読みごたえがある。 むしろこのゲームがおまけでPDFが本体といってよいだろう。 このゲームの批評としてはお勧めできないを選択せざるを得ないが、Special Edition の購入はお勧めしたい。

Он представляет собой недолгую аудиозапись, раскрывающую немного о лоре игры, которая состоит из трёх частей. В одной из них даже можно зачем-то сделать выбор, который мало на что влияет. Прикольно, конечно, послушать на фоне, как телевизор, если, конечно, обладаешь достаточными знаниями английского языка, но платить 200 рублей за слайдшоу как-то не комильфо. Ну, и нюанс в том, что для запуска потребуется Flash Player, который далеко не у каждого в наше-то время имеется.

Зачем делать игру, если можно делать болтунизм?

Если интересно окунуться в лор игры (в тауэрдефенсе? поехавший что ли?), то возможно будет любопытна эта короткая аудиоистория с графическими вставками за 2 доллара

This is a HOAX!!!! I wasted my money - DON'T BYE THIS!!!! It is NOTHING, but a primitive useless story - you got NOTHING extra to your game (Levels/weapons). And you got NO chanse of knowing what you are buying - because there is NO describtion, when choosing this. I think this should NOT be allowed to buy on Steam - ITS A HOAX !!!!!!
