Ugh. It gets boring pretty quick. Gave it a chance and played some hours, but it doesn't get better. There are three different modes of map, but most of the time it's just the standard 'build and defend' map. To win 3 stars you have little options, you always build the same combination, cause everything else just sucks.. I played until map 40 but couldn't get me playing it further, too boring to procceed. Also the game feels a bit like one of those mobile games, you need gems to buy some pretty OP troops, but you get like 0.005% of what you need per win, so yeah it takes a while; I guess on mobile you could just buy those gems like on the usual mobile games. You can get some gems from barrack after some idle time but those were max 3k after a day, guess there is a cap, cause it was also 3k after like 5 hours.
Zustand bis 28.10.2018: Thumb down ... Viel zu schwer, zu viele Level, Frustgefahr, Zufall und Glück entscheiden über knappen Sieg oder totale Niederlage nach nur wenigen Sekunden. Wer nur spielen will, sollte gar nicht erst kaufen. UPDATE: Zustand seit dem Patch vom 29.10.2018: Thumb up! BUY BUY BUY

A lot like Plants vs. Zombies, but with a medieval twist. May make older devices run slower.
Pelo menos ele teve coragem de colocar na descrição da steam (Quando o jogo tava disponível na steam) que era literalmente um Plants VS. Zombies
This is a low effort mobile ported ripoff of Plants vs Zombies but with low poly cartoony knights and things instead of plants, whatever. A ripoff is a ripoff. It even tells you to "tap the screen to start" which should tell you how little effort went into dumping this on Steam. Speaking of ripoffs, most mobile games dumped on Steam are just scams/cash grabs trying to get money for free mobile games. I can't tell with this one because it seems to have been pulled from/rejected from all the major app stores! So is it a ripoff? With the eye stinging $10 USD price tag for a mobile ported Plants vs Zombies ripoff, you can be sure it is. Avoid at all costs.
Fun game it kept my attention
Whack.
I wish i could recommand this but i can't!
The grapjic is a little too bad and sevral bugs that you see. I would say so much that this game wasn't planed as a PvZ Clone cus sometimes u hear some footsteps if u use w,a,s,d. It's sad but i can't recommend this.
Nice game
Defending Camelot is a Plant vs Zombies game, but not so good. It has good graphics and good mechanics, but it fails to accomplish several points that make a game good. First of all and as the worst point in the list is the lack of an adequate description of abilities/strength/reach/resistance/special power of the troops, yours or enemies. You need to play to find out more or less what they can do, and some of these are not obvious (like one swordman being able to hit flying enemies, or another one having the power of push enemies far away; you thought a cannon shot wouldn't get deflected back to your troop? You are sorely mistaken. Be ready for a nasty surprise). For some hidden stats (like some abilities long recharge time) you almost give up and consider these a single-use unit. And this has a huge impact on your playing tactics, which in turn is a huge hit on the playability of the game. I have completed the game and I don't know what some of the units special power does - as charges are paid with in-game currency, which it also is used to buy some troops... and I didn't want to waste it guessing what would they do (so you get the idea). Also, the game has a wooping 160 levels to play. That seems pretty good, right? Nope! It just repeats almost the same enemy formation in groups of ten levels, just to extend the game. It is not like every level has a little surprise, or a colorful backstory, or... no. Just no story at all, same background, same enemies.. and this time one skeleton comes with a shield? Yeah, huge difference. Let's use, I don't know, the same formation I used on prior level and stomp them down anyway. The difficulty curve is high at the start as you lack better units, but it gets easier as you progress - on start you lack units and win very low in-game income, and as you progress you get better units and your income raises, which lets you buy even better units... and makes some levels a cakewalk (a boring cakewalk one). It has also several minor bugs - sometimes you win before all enemies are off, or sometimes it does not let you select the troop you wanted to put on the field until several attampts are done - but even somewhat annoying (and that shows poor care by the developer at this point) they are not disruptive of your gameplay. Some levels have a random mechanic in which you are provided random troops with time, and you choose where to put them as enemies advance. These are done very poorly, and you may find yourself looking a single flying troop that (figuratively) laughs at you while passing over your whole field as the game does not let you have a single unit that could hit them; or having only projectile troops and then sending you a projectile-reflecting unit to devastate your whole line without letting you do a thing to defend yourself. Summarizing, these random levels are... random. Just random. No balance in any way. Ah, and some of the troops offered may be ones you don't even own yet, so you can get them on the field and wonder what they are going to do. Same with enemies. As I said earlier, this should have been corrected by a caring developer. Also, you need to understand that it is a mobile portability - you will get loading screens, fading in and out screens and things alike that are not needed at all in a computer game, that will slightly slow your gaming experience, but these are expected. Some good points are that are some levels that you play with a different gaming perspective: you and enemy send troops one towards the other in order to beat the owner's castle, or portal levels in which it will spawn a fixed formation and you need to find the right combination of troops that once you set the level in motion will be able to withstand the attack. Not very well executed (you need to set the level in motion to see what is going to happen, lose and then think your tactic memorizing what will happen), but a fresh idea that is appreciated so you have something different sometimes; but I'm afraid that they are not good enough in order to compensate the rest of the game. Having no backstory and almost no new creativity (you will find more or less all types of mechanics you saw in plants vs zombies; tombs that spawn enemies if not removed; mist that does not let you see incoming troops, storms that kill troops randomly - this is one of the first boards and very annoying in a strategy game) I would only recommend it if:

you have a craving for this type of games.
you play sparsely so you don't get fed up playing almost the same level again and again.
the game has a huge discount the day you buy it (because it is not worth its full price in any way).
I got it through a giveaway. I would have been very dissappointed if I had paid for it. And I only finished it because I am stubborn as hell, but take a look on how many players got the completion achievment, and you will have a good idea of how many dropped this game without finishing it. Have a nice day, I hope this helps someone on deciding if they want to get or not this game.
