not really a "unique roguelike" since it's just seraph's last stand with destructible floors added, for 5x the price
Good roguelike deckbuilder, really well *smirk ;)* made. I've rocked quite a bite of hours on the demo before, and i'm planning to do the same thing here in the full release.
Very simple yet addicting game. 10/10 recommend
A unique roguelike, a bit slow progression, but still fun
Disappointing compared to Seraph's Last Stand.
Great game. Played it for a good couple of hours and will be playing for longer. Got number one ranked score, could have beat it more, but the stupid lava always gets me when i come out of the choosing card screen. There should defently be a couple seconds of invulnerability when you come out of that. There are some card tweaks i would change in the game, some just seem straight up useless even after ascending. However its alot of fun getting new cards! Ive done just about everything, but weirdly enough i still havent run into "The Well Dweller" or the ribbon beam shooting thing in the trailer. As well i have no clue how to unlock the cosmetics. Any tips from the dev would be great!
Pretty fun, but there are definitely upgrades that are much more valuable than others. With the right build there's a strong possibility to go infinite, and once you have the right combination of upgrades there isn't a lot enemies can do to challenge you. Limited replay value once you have everything, but maybe could be fun to challenge yourself by denying yourself certain powerups once playing the game normally gets stale? I'm not sure if the developer realized how much the infinite jumps upgrade invalidates reaching the bottom of the well as a sort of 'time's up' mechanic. Overall, I'd say it's perfectly worthy of the price tag, but it'll be a short-lived experience.
I played the demo, it felt interesting but empty, not enough cards to unlock. I bought the game when the full version was released, and it's the exact same things than the demo!! Nothing new, it's very disappointing
Are the insane builds in the room with us? It has the makings of a very interesting game with the ground destruction dynamic as it adds another layer of focus from dodging bullets to dodging bullets in specific places to terraform your level. The shooting and movement is fine but I did find myself wanting more wacky modifiers. I don't know why devs are so scared to let us be powerful. The flail is a joke with how tiny it is. Most of the enemies I encountered were fliers which made a melee weapon with -1 range absolutely useless. After a couple minutes in a run you run out of new passives to pick and it starts to get a bit stale. I do see that there is some hub world stuff that I didn't unlock so maybe the insane builds come with that but from the time I spent it was just passive builds that were a bit boring. Another game I wish I could give mixed as the skeleton to the game is there but the upgrades were pretty disappointing. Perhaps I just have to play more to really see these insane builds.
As advertised, it is a follow-up to "Seraph's Last Stand," but the first boss character appears in the 20th wave, and platform blocks can be destroyed by your own and others' attacks, so it seems to have a new gameplay feel. I got an error when trying to buy armor from the shop, so please fix this bug.
