So I've just found out that the DEEP SPACE WAIFU games have seemingly been taken down from steam and everywhere else because of some weird music copyright thingy or something else. I thought I might as well just leave a short review here. The gameplay wasn't anything special at all, I mean you will never hear anyone say "Oh my god, dude! Deep Space Waifu was an amazing game!!!" But it was definitely entertaining. Yes, it was partly due to the naked anime girls, but the game was just a shoot em up game. Yeah it's generic, but still kinda entertaining for about 1-3 hours. The girls are obviously really hot. I mean the artstyle isn't the best, but they're still pretty good masturbation material. I Don't really have much to say here. Overall beating the game can take at the very least about an hour or less and getting all of the stars in all of the levels will take another hour or two. This game wasn't really a cult classic and probably only got some recognition because Markeplier played it, but it was a pretty good 3 hours for a cheap price. I wouldn't say I'm going to miss this franchise, but my over all experience of this game was fun and never really dull or boring. 10/10 Would masturbate again.
Why is this gone ???

"This is a simple SUPER CASUAL shmmup meant to be played even with one-hand." Honestly, that about sums it up, your target in these games are the cloths that the girls are wearing, with enough damage, poof, they will be undressed. I am not even sure what happen to this series, seems like it disappeared even before people who love to tell you what you can and cannot enjoy started popping up on steam. (Rant) Nowadays it seems like you should just grab a game if you think you MIGHT play it because valve is constantly being assailed by the people mentioned above channeling Nintendo and they are looking for the smallest petty reason to get games delisted. (Rant Cont.) Only thing I can guess is that the squares might look little young for some people OR the developer of this series got into a bit of trouble with the law akin to what happen to Yandere Dev, but who knows. You can no longer get this delightful little shooter on steam because of reasons. If you have it and just have yet to play it. You should. If you are reading reviews because you are bored. Hello! If you are reading reviews to try and find out where to get the game. Good Luck! To be honest it really isn't worth THAT much effort. There are better games, The likes of which are both more fun & sexier to boot. If you want it because someone said you can't have it. Totally understand. TLDR: It's fun, it's quick, and it is unfortunately no longer available.
One handed mode was truly peak gameplay, but this indepth game shows that truly spaceships are the best when taking down the clothes of gigantic anime women. The lore is deep and only true gamers can understand. 10/Hand would one hand mode again.
Games are the last honest temples of human desire: we build systems of power and reward, then drape them in the most ridiculous, guilty skins imaginable so we can laugh at ourselves while chasing transcendence. Deep Space WAIFU doesn’t whisper its truths—it blasts them at you in full neon pixel glory while tearing fabric with every well-placed shot. You are King Bear, glorious motorcycle-riding bear-headed degenerate, swiping through an intergalactic dating app that somehow always ends in alien invasions and strategic cloth damage. The gameplay is pure casual shmup poetry: weave through bullet patterns that range from polite to overwhelming, collect stars, upgrade on the fly, and blast away at both enemy fleets and the towering waifus serving as living backdrops. Hit the right weak points enough times and layers peel away in gloriously over-the-top fashion until victory (and the date) is yours. It’s disarmingly fun as a straight shooter—tight controls, satisfying feedback, that perfect one-more-run itch—but the real philosophy rides shotgun. This is interactive art confronting the male gaze without a single apology or lecture. You’re not saving the galaxy out of nobility; you’re dating via destruction, turning cosmic war into the world’s most expensive strip poker match. The dark humor lands every time your perfect run gets humbled by a sudden bullet hell spike or when the game cheerfully reminds you that even pixel waifus are watching your technique. The retro pixel aesthetic, vaporwave-tinged soundtrack, and absurd premise wrap it all in self-aware surrealism: a bear in a jacket chasing connection through violence and wardrobe malfunctions. Sure, it’s short, shameless, and built for “one-handed mode” once you’ve earned it. The repetition is the point—the loop of escalation, release, and reload mirrors every fleeting obsession we’ve ever fed. No grand narrative, no moralizing, just honest mechanical indulgence dressed as arcade nostalgia. In a medium drowning in self-serious epics, this little bomb of irreverence reminds us that sometimes the deepest philosophical confession is admitting what we actually want and coding a motorcycle bear to go get it. Deep Space WAIFU isn’t trying to be your therapist. It’s the friend who hands you the controller, cranks the volume, and says “go ahead, make it weird.” And in that glorious, unpretentious honesty, it becomes something rarer than most polished masterpieces: a game that understands play is just desire wearing a funny hat. 10/10 would swipe right on another alien invasion tomorrow. Just one more stage.

This game isnt available to buy but I'm glad I didn't buy it. Friend gifted to me, it's been sitting in my library forever. Clearing out all the achievements, barely a decent shmup
