DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH

Honestly, truly, one of the best games I've ever played. I wasn't sure how they'd improve upon DS1, but on the gameplay side alone, the QoL perfects the already fantastic gameplay from DS1, and builds upon it. Combat feels MUCH better than DS1, graphics are improved, and the story. Oh my GOD the story. DS1 left a few questions unanswered. DS2 answers all those questions, introduces and answers new ones, and only leaves you asking "what's next?" at the end. This could be the last Death Stranding game and it'd be a perfect ending, or it could be continued with all new characters (not gonna spoil, you'll see). I don't think there's a piece of media that made me feel as emotional as this game. There are a few blemishes on the story, there's a few plot twists that were *incredibly* obvious and I called happening from a mile away, and one of the larger reveals/twists only has like 10 minutes before it's resolved and barely touched again (it's resolved *in the same cutscene it's introduced*). That one felt a bit empty. It was predictable, and again, resolved right away. Everything besides those blemishes were masterfully done. Play this game. Best $70 I've spent. Would easily pay more for a DS3 if it ever happens. Wasn't a Kojima fan after DS1, but I definitely am now.

Boy howdy does it not run great on a 1660ti but I didn't expect it to. Still, great stuff, fun times. Setting is insane as usual but it would be terribly disappointing for a Kojima game to be anything else. I look forward to seeing the rest.
