[h1] An Incredible Sequel [/h1] DS2 is a game that maintains, expands upon, and evolves everything great about DS1, especially the mechanics that make it unique in the video game landscape. It's clear that this sequel was designed to be a bit more accessible to a wider audience, focusing more on action through more missions where shooting and/or stealth are necessary, and giving the player more ways to move around the map. This makes it an incredible entry point for anyone who wants to try the games and has any doubts [b] (the events of DS1 are explained through entries in the corpus and reiterated by the characters) [/b] . Despite this, it maintains a good balance that makes it feel true to its core for fans of the first game. I loved the story, characters, boss fights, new equipment, the landscapes, and the variety of enemies/encounters. My only complaint is that some points in the story, especially at the end, aren't explained. I assume they were left this way so that the player can fill in the blanks. With all that said, DS2 is an incredible game that's worth every penny. I understand that its core gameplay might not be for everyone, but anyone who gives it a chance will find a masterpiece worthy of admiration. I like the story, the characters and the voice acting. The Gameplay and everything else is TRASH.
